The best menthol I've found is from e-liquid-planet. A gallon of water does seem like a lot. If you go the McDonalds and get a large drink that's 32oz. Drinking 4 of those in an entire day equals about 1 gallon. You can also use a bottled water which is usually 16oz. So eight of those would be enough. An easy way to get that gallon is by having a bottle of water, juice, or some milk while you vape. Beverages with caffeine dehydrate and rehydrate at the same time. There is a formula based in the amount if caffeine per serving but I can't remember it. Coffee, Pepsi/Coke, Red Bull, Monster Etc. all contain caffeine but they also contain water. The problem is it requires MORE of these products to truly hydrate. So you could create another hazard by ingesting to much caffeine. Not saying you can't drink these but for rehydration water or sports drinks are best. If the water gets a bit to plain you can add flavors. Remember PG and VG are hygroscopic (they attract water) so that's why you need to hydrate while vapeing. Science it's so boring it's fun. Or is that just for me.

Well I hope I can help you out a bit here. I was a menthol smoker myself for well over 30 years. A good friend got me started using the ego battery and ego mega cartomizer. Then had me try a special blend that was made especially for me by "backwoods brew" Don (the owner) asked what kind of cigs I smoked and he put together a menthol that tastes just like Newports.. I will tell you I also had slight headaches for about a week when I first started, but since then they have stopped. I no longer use the menthol either. I've switched to a "cherry" flavor, Don has several flavors to choose from, but I'll tell you this much, if you ever ate "smith brother wild cherry cough drops" his cherry blend taste exactly like it. I've since dropped my nicotine down to only 18mgs as well. I've been vaporzing for only 5 weeks, but I haven't had a cigarette either since then. Good luck, stick with it...

I would be careful about drinking a gallon of water without consulting a physician. That doesn't sound like a lot, it IS a lot particularly without factoring in height, body weight and ACTUAL depletion (from running, sweating, etc. not just dry mouth) I am 5'2" 98 -102 lbs and there is no way.....

Here is quote from a kidney specialist on topic, but people may want to do their own research before resorting to that.

Where did people get the idea that guzzling enormous quantities of water is healthful? A few years ago Heinz Valtin, a kidney specialist from Dartmouth Medical School, decided to determine if the common advice to drink eight, eight-ounce glasses of water per day could hold up to scientific scrutiny. After scouring the peer-reviewed literature, Valtin concluded that no scientific studies support the "eight x eight" dictum (for healthy adults living in temperate climates and doing mild exercise). In fact, drinking this much or more "could be harmful, both in precipitating potentially dangerous hyponatremia and exposure to pollutants, and also in making many people feel guilty for not drinking enough," he wrote in his 2002 review for the American Journal of Physiology—Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology. And since he published his findings, Valtin says, "not a single scientific report published in a peer-reviewed publication has proven the contrary."

I drink a gallon a day. 5'5" 124.6lbs. Your body is made up of 78.6% water or something like that. When I started vaping, I actually found I needed more, which also helped with the headaches and the annoying clearing your throat thing. So dont be afraid to drink more water. If your body dont want it, it just P_sses it out anyways. (btw, when I'm cutting weight I drink 2 gallons a day for 2 days before a comp) (and I know thats not healthy) (but whatever)

I'll absolutely agree with all of the above! There's no way I can drink that much water every day. If I drink too much water, I get sick and feel very bloated. Some advice you have to just ignore and follow what your body tells you.

well if your not used to it, it is a bit much. And of course if I sat down and drank a gallon all at once I'm sure I would die. And like they say, opinions are like.....something. Everyone has one :)

I do think people tend to vape more than they ever smoked, at least in the beginning. And just that process of inhaling anything foreign has to deplete your body of water and cause an irritated throat. So extra water certainly helps. How much is up to the individual. Someone here said something that I thought was interesting...you know when your done with a cigerette, you've reached the filter. You put it out. With vaping, well, its the gift that keeps on giving. and for me anyway, I tended to get outa control in the beginning. (ok, I still do)
