The comment I left is still "awaiting moderation." That makes me wonder if they'll even post it. All I did was challenge her to come to ECF and tell us that switching to "e-cigs" isn't going to help us quit. I also let her know that I thought she should do some research instead of belching out misinformation that she got from other misinformed organizations. I guess maybe they don't want other people to know that vaping really does work. Such a shame to be so chickenpoop.

>>>”Electronic cigarettes are definitely not recommended for quitting smoking,” said Jane Emmeree, a health promotion specialist at GatorWell. Instead, she said, they just reinforce the motion of the habit.

She said the levels of nicotine are not sufficient to satisfy a habitual smoker in the first place and therefore not effective for quitting.<<<

I found this quote from a University of Florida "health promotion specialist". The short article goes on to say that e-cigs have been banned from the campus under the smoking ban.

Apparently "GatorWell" is the university's health info site and they offer other "low cost" medications ("save up to $300!!") to students and others who join their quit smoking program.

:oops:Made me so angry I sent her a short message through her facebook page and invited her to visit here to see how unsuccessful everyone has been in giving up cigarettes for pv's.http://www.freetobacco.info/electronic-cigarettes-2/electronic-cigarettes-may-pose-health-risks/

not sufficient to satisfy a habitual smoker After smoking 1&1/2 packs a day of some of the strongest cigarrettes on the market for over 40 years I am SOOOOO Relieved to find out from a "knowledgable" person that I was NOT a HABITUAL smoker!!!

I sent the following message to Specialist Jane via Facebook:

Hi, I happened to see you quoted in free tobacco zone discussing electronic cigarettes. Would you recommend that i stop electronic cigarettes and resume tobacco cigarettes until I found a cessation method that I haven't tried yet and that might actually work for me?

Let's see, 35+ years smoking 1 1/2 pad, inhaling cigars, tried patches, gum, lozenge, zyban, chantix, support groups
cold turkey, acurapuncture, hypnotizism, shamen witch doctors. baying at the moon, NOTHING worked for more
than a little while, craving a smoke the whole time. Vaping I was able to replace the nicotine delivery system (or not
if she is correct) and not crave an analog in the least. Must be the no nicotine being supplied, strangly it took at
least 28 - 30mg/mL to not supply it.

If PV was outlawed, I would find an illegal supply or most likely go back to smoking. Not because I would want
to but after my experience with cigarettes, I'm just being a realist.
