"“Electronic cigarettes are definitely not recommended for quitting smoking,” said Jane Emmeree, a health promotion specialist at GatorWell. Instead, she said, they just reinforce the motion of the habit."

health promotion specialist ??

What the hell is a health promotion specialist? They starting to make up titles for themselves now? Sounds like a medical doctor wannabe who flunked out of college...

Found this on the Gatorwell site where they offer to help you quit smoking:

Free or discounted stop smoking medications may include Chantix®, Bupropion (Zyban® generic), or generic nicotine replacement patches, gum, and lozenges. Discounted medication is available while supplies last.

Discount drugs....eh? I smell Big Pharma.... ;)

"She said the levels of nicotine are not sufficient to satisfy a habitual smoker in the first place and therefore not effective for quitting."

Damn, I better go get some analogs... 4-5 months without them and I'm just dieing due to lack of nicotine.

You can just imagine my withdrawals after being deprived of nicotine for 17 months lol
I feel so angry I could crush a grape

Just got off the phone with the ALA. I pretended to be a smoker at first asking about the different products. After telling me their NRT's were over 40% I asked what about the study showing that only 2% stay quit using smoking cessation at 20 months? In addition they also did not deny the suicidal deaths of 39 people while on Chantix.
(gave the link to the study)
Then I asked if she smoked, she said she did not but her family does. I informed her of the 3 surveys showing effectiveness of electronic cigarettes with one as high as 80% (CASAA-2217 participants) and that it had also worked for me. Hopefully she helps her family out with the ecig =P

Eh, probably not helping at all, I mean why would they stop trying to ban the ecig because of an over zealous caller to their puny help line lol.

SERENITY NOW!
