More flavor when the RSST is removed..... Get a reduction cap insert?

Hey all,

I'm currently using Provari 2.5 with ss rope in an RSST, and I love the setup. However, I was goofing around and noticed that if I lift the cap off and use it as a funnel to inhale the rising vapors that the flavor is 376 times better!

When I put the cap back on, the flavor is muted once again. I have a 1/16th" airhole this is aligned with the wick, FYI.

Would a reduction cap some this phenomenon? RSST-TCI

P. S. I also heard that a smaller-holed drip tip aperture would help intensify flavors by concentrating the vapor on my taste buds....

I don't understand what you mean by using the cap as a funnel but yes, reducing the chamber greatly increases flavor. If you don't want to waste $10 just use a trimmed cotton ball.

I lift the cap off about an inch above the wick, and inhale what is rising off of the wick....

If you get a moment, could you please post a link to a pic of how the cotton should look after it's fitted into the RSST cap (I'm searching as well, no luck yet) ... In my mind I see a wad of cotton burning because of the proximity to the coils... Lol

This is mine. Also, I have the TCI. Took it out after a few days because the cotton actually works better. Given you use the right amount.

Thank you SO much. Is the cotton treated or wetted or anything to aid in fastening, etc...?

I just wet it, blot it with a paper towel, then I trim a small piece off of one side about a 1/4 inch. Then shape it into a U and stuff it in there.
