Hi all I just quit a 22 yr smoking habit on Saturday. I did with a standard evod starter set. Although its fine for what it it is I think I am already outgrowing it in terms of battery life and vapour production. I also work on rotation 20 days out 10 days at home, at a mine where it's a hard cold environment with no support except what I bring in to camp. The provari seems to rank high as being indestructible as a battery unit so I am leaning that way, now what carto, clearo, ato,etc is in the same league as far as being bullet proof? I understand that I may need extra parts like multiple evod coils which I am fine with if I know beforehand. I just don't want any surprises when I am away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ahhh the Provari :) I like to think of it more as a classic Cadillac from Detroit's golden era. Strong American made product. There are other devices though ;) Most of the time I use Boge Xl 3.0 ohm cartomizers on mine. Sometimes a Vivi nova. Glass tanks and re-build able atomizers are another favorite. Not personally, but for many others on here.

BTW: Huge congrats on the Saturday switch! That is awesome :vapor:

Wow thanks for the quick replies ... This forums is fantastic. Since we are talking Mercedes and Camrys what is am looking for is mid to late 70 s Mercedes 300d or 1988 -2003 Toyota Camry reliability or the the most reliable years that either company made. I am willing to spend a months worth of cigarettes, about or $300 to find such a critter. I hope this clarity's the question.

Definitely a Provari for durability and reliability. Built like a tank much like a mechanical mod is. Even should it break or dysfunction, it can always be repaired for life by the manufacturer, unlike all the Chinese-made mods.
WHY PROVARI?

No matter how tough the battery device or the juice attachment, the weak link will be the connector of the juice attachment, and they all use the same 510 thread connector.

An all metal or nearly all metal tank would be the most durable:

If cartotanks are your thing, the Big Daddy tanks from Big Daddy Vapor should suffice. Anodized aluminum body with a juice window.

If clearomizers like the Kanger Pro tanks are your thing, Tatroe Mods makes a heavy stainless steel tank which uses Kanger Protank replacement coils. Tatroe Mods
