^^^^^ exactly why I went with sigelie zmax v3, 100% full stainless. Its a very good device, not perfect but those threads will be there for many many years. Unless the mod says full stainless steel and you confirm with vendor or vapers that the 510 is stainless, your gettin strippin, plated brass. Not many others are stainless for this amount of money, some mechanicals but you still have to watch out for stainless body with plated brass 510 threads.

The top cap on the Sigelei Zmax V3/V5 is removable. Here it is removed. The 510 and eGo threading are machined from one piece of stainless steel. The 510 center pin is brass.

Yes. The Sigelei 510/eGo assembly is rough-finished stainless steel. The tube body is stainless steel with a brushed finish. The brushed stainless has a distinctive appearance.

for the $$, there is no better mod, IMHO, in it's price range that does VV, VW, has both 510 and ego connections, and takes 3 different battery sizes. :) it's just that it doesn't have a vendor topic or a fanboy club. Otherwise, more people would see that this is one of the best in it's price point out there. I think that was why it was called provari killer when it burst on the scene. Okay, the build quality is not provari......but you can get 4 of them for one provari. One button 8 item menu system.

I dunno, never found a single thing to dislike aobut this mod. I'm just not a tube mod person. I used BFs in box shapes. :)

I am always on the fence about what to recommend to newbies, but there are 2 inexpensive PVs i have *never* change my mind about: Sigelei Zmax and Joyetech Ego Twists.

Until something else comes along, for their respective prices, I can't see starting out with anything else as a new vaper, because I don't think new vapers need to spend $300+ (w/ batts, charger and juice) because they don't even kNOW what they are gonna like yet.

Either the twists or the zmax can become backup devices later on.......never will be $$ down the drain IMHO

sigelei zmax next to joyetech twist (the longest one)

Isn't the Sigelei a PWM device though? One of the reasons I opted for the MVP was that it has a flat DC signal, same as the ProVari (and the iTaste VV3) - I looked at the Innokin VTR too but again (for some reason) that's PWM.

The only thing the MVP has going against it (unless you see the built-in battery as a minus) is that it'll only go up to 5 volts/11 watts (and it's not crazy accurate in wattage mode, but all the same I'd rather have a flat signal that was a little out than a PWM that was accurate).

Not knocking the Sigelei (or any of the other PWM devices) - it's just for its features, the MVP really does seem a killer deal for the price.
