I will never understand the need some people have for negative attention. And to the poster that got annoyed at the mother with the two children, get over yourself. Those kids don't know the difference between vaping and smoking. People that want to throw vaping in everyone's faces and get all confrontational about it do none of us any favors. Your rights end where the other person's begin.

I'm over myself, thank you. Maybe you should go back and read again. I specifically said I wanted to speak with the lady but she had turned after her remark. Where did you read that I was annoyed? If that was the impression you got then i'm sorry for you. Maybe you shouldn't read posts until after you cool down. nuff said.

I stealth-vape at the nurses station (away from public view) occasionally... The best was a patient who was openly vaping, on rounds I popped my 510-T and joined him (door closed and no oxygen in use) for a few good clouds :vapor:. I've also been invited to vape in employee health, got the folks who smoke there very interested in vaping as an alternative, handed out a couple discount cards from my vendor and they're now giving it a go.

As a health professional I have to add my voice to those who urge discretion: I've had colleagues freak out when patients vape openly with the door open while oxygen is in use (very dangerous if there's burning leaf, it could also cause an ecig to ignite!) and had to explain to both sides what was going on and why it was a bad idea even though ecigs are okayed for patients who use them. I also don't want to create a negative impression of our burgeoning community, being considerate and discreet will win much more support than an in-your-face attitude.

Probably the most forbidden place would be in the hospital where I work. "Tobacco" is forbidden and signs stating as such are up at every entrance. Well, technically I am not using "tobacco", but I do vape discretely by my locker in the locker room. I only vape in front of a few trusted fellow co-workers, otherwise I abstain if I'm not alone.

I've stealth vaped in the movie theatre, using the usual stealth techniques. I try to sit in the back, just in case some vapor escapes to distract other viewers.

I occassionally take a toot on my Provari and cartotank while grocery shopping. I don't think anyone would mistake it as a cigarette, and I usually only vape in empty isles. Store employees, including a manager, have caught me vaping, and ignored me.

I recently went to an outdoor concert event to see Journey, Pat Benetar, and Loverboy. I specifically asked a security girl if she minded if I used my Provari and BB within the arena, then held them out for her to see, and she said no problem. I didn't even have to explain what they were.

I also brought them to a Bengals football intersquad scrimmage at Paul Brown Stadium. The security people were checking for weapons and alcohol, but the security guy waved me on in thru the gate with both of my mods in my hands.
