loving my provari and rather protective of him...
noticed last night with one of my 490s that when I pressed the button i'd get some jiggling internally.....and with my 650 it happens less dramatically, but I can still feel it esp when I tilt a certain way.

normal? should I be concerned?

It shouldn't jiggle. It shouldn't make any sound when shaken, except, perhaps, a tiny bit of clicking from the firing button, the same as when it's lightly tapped.

If it's happening with one size battery and not other, I wonder if it might be the spring on the bottom cap. Perhaps one needs to be pulled up slightly. This is just conjecture on my part, I hope someone more technically inclined chimes on.

Only because I am experiencing this, as well as another recent poster here. See if you can stick a finger in and touch the board, lightly touch it and see if you can move it left to right, not up and down. My mini (purchased used) moved left to right, I can feel it and see it thru the window. My newly purchased one from provape.com does not do this. I am sending mine in to get fixed.

I wonder if they got a bad batch of glue at some point.

the board inside slides into two slots on the inside of the tube. then they add hot glue to the top corners of the board to hold it from moving in the groove. it will wiggle if loose but there is no fear of falling out or anything,so its up to you to decide to get it fixed or live with it. the small amount of movement will be as bad as it can get it wont keep getting worse or anything, had a used one I bought doing this so I popped the endcap and re hotglued it myself.

I agree, I don't think its going to fall out. However, my issue was a contact issue. I would hold the button and it would seem to cut out. I look inside and and I see space in-between my button and the button on the board. If my board didn't move, it would always have solid contact.

I am electing to have it fixed. IMHO, if something is loose and shouldn't be, its bound to become a bigger issue later. Again, my opinion.
I rather be safe then sorry. They create them, know them well, might as well have them fix it.

My new one, rock solid, no movement, solid connection.

I just tried this with mine and it moves a little bit. I'm gonna just put up with it though - i could take it back to Liberty Flights where i bought it as they attempt initial repairs and then return to provape if they cant fix it, but i would rather leave it be than not have it for a week or two (and a lot longer if it went back to provape). I've only had it a month or so - if it gets noticeably worse within the next 2 to 3 months then I'll take it in to LF to get it sorted.
