I started vaping with the V2 E-Cig EX Series, and have been wanting to upgrade to an Ego or PV for more vapor and a longer lasting battery. I have narrowed it down to the V2 Pro Series 3, the vaporfi Pro, or the vaporfi Rocket. The V2 Pro and VaporFi Pro appear to be about the same performance wise, but the Rocket is enticing with even longer lasting battery and adjustable air flow/voltage. Any recommendations of the three? Or others outside of these three? Thanks!

Are you trying to vape something besides e-liquid? Because I would recommend the Aspire Premium Starter Kit over any of those if you're vaping e-liquid. Or an Ego One kit, something made primarily for e-liquid. WOW those ones you're looking at are expensive, you can get a way better experience for a lot less money if you're only looking to vape e-liquid.

If you like the box mod style you could go with something like an iStick 30w or iStick 50w and the Nautilus tank also and you'll get much better vapor production and flavor than your e-cig and the battery will last you all day and charges by Micro USB. There's a lot of options out there. I highly recommend checking out YouTube and watching some intro/tutorial videos by people like GrimmGreen, Abby Vapes, Ruby Roo, PBusardo, Rip Trippers, etc.

I was using the Blu Premium 100 e-cigs before I got my first vaping setup and it's a whole 'nother world. A much better experience when you move to a 510 connection vaping device.

The ego one is sleak and works. It's all about size. If you want something small, the ego one is great. But, the bigger you go, the bigger battery you have and the longer it'll last. The mvp 3 is a good unit, and the 3 pro is even better. You can also go with an iov4 if you want to removable batteries.

As for tanks, if you want flavor and vapor, the delta 2 is great. More vapor? The Arctic tank. But the delta 2 is great.

These do seem a lot more bulky than the VaporFi Rocket, but clearly have more to offer from your comments and me just reading about them. Perhaps the iStick 20w is not as bulky as the two others and can also be mobile, but if not exclusive home use would be fine. Thanks again for all of this input!
Just a heads up, pretty much everything from vaporfi is way overpriced. Most of it is just rebranded hardware from other companies. I'd recommend the istick 30w to someone just moving up the ladder. Cheap, decent quality and power, when paired with an Aspire Nautilus mini has great flavor and battery life.

Sometimes, the "free speech" internet gives me a headache! (because I can't say what I really think).
I would never order anything from the companies you mention.
There is such a thing in this world as over-hyped, over-priced and over-a-barrel thanks to the power of the $/£ and the marketing prowess of e-cig companies that are all together in a self-fulfilling web of reviews, fake 'independent review' sites, social media likes and general brain-washing of the masses.

I cannot come straight out and say "do not buy from" a store (not these days, anyway) but what I will say is

"Do you want to pay $120 for a $35 e-cig? I doubt it.

When 99% of the reviews all lead to five or six 'brands' yet the majority of experienced users do not use these brands... then it's time to call Scooby Doo.

These brands would be getting away with it if it wasn't for those meddling forums. :)

Thanks again for the feedback! No, I dont want to pay $120 for something I can get for much cheaper that works the same or better. The Aspire Nautilus kit and Madvapes Majestic ARO kit are right up my alley. I like the feel of smoking a cigar or cigarette, which is what I am replacing, so MOD boxes I am not sure about and these other two are exactly what I am looking for.

Trust me it's easy to get lost in vape land now. So many choices and a lot of them just in the past year and a half. I've been vaping for 2 years and started much as you did it sounds like. In one week I never picked up another smoke. You can spend lots of money trust me and quick. There is a lot of experience here on this forum. You can get a lot of info at you fast but in the end to me it's about what can you afford to do? There are just to many options. My suggestion is to start with something to me that is simple to use, affordable, no extra batteries to buy and/or chargers. I'd recommend the iStick 50 watt. I own two of them and my wife has two of them and we've had not one issue since day one. Just plug and play for now and you can always move up later on if you like. As for a tank remember everyone has their own opinion and this is just mine. I'd own more than one so that you can swap out tanks with different flavors easily. I like the Kanger Subtank Mini .5 ohm heads and right now I'm really liking the Zephyrus. Watch lots of videos, read reviews and keep on asking questions and again don't get overwhelmed take your time and enjoy yoursef

Ok, after reviewing more, I really like the Aspire Nautilus Mini Premium Starter Kit that was suggested earlier in several posts. The only thing I cannot figure out is what the battery life is on this, on average. I don't see any reviews or videos stating it can last the entire day or any estimate. Also, I don't see anything about being able to charge while in use like some others do. Does anyone have insight on the battery life and info on whether or not it can charge while in use? Eventually I would upgrade to the istick using the mini tank, but for now wanted to use the VV battery it comes with in the kit. Thanks!

is this the kit you are looking at?

Aspire Premium Starter Kit - $56.95 - WORLDofVAPE

if so, then you will not be able to vape while charging. you can tell by how the charge needs to screw on where the tank would be. Also, there is now way it will last all day. 1000mah battery. depends on how you vape, but i would think a max of 4 hours. i was getting that much on a 940mah iTaste vv3.

Ok, thanks for that information. What I am looking for is a cigar style Ego like this Aspire Nautilus, but that has a battery that lasts all day, has air flow and voltage control, and does not cost $120 like the VaporFi Rocket does. The VaporFi Rocket looks like a cigar, not a MOD "box", this helps me in my tobacco free journey to feel as if I am smoking the real thing as much as possible. I agree with the experts that VaporFi is way to expensive and glorified through marketing, I am just looking for the above which it meets all the criteria, and am hoping to find something the same in looks (cigar like), battery life, and air flow/voltage control, without breaking the bank but still getting the utmost quality. Thoughts?

you might want to check out the iTaste vv4. it still will not last you all day, but at least you can vape and charge at the same time. I would also highly recommend the iStick 30watt. i think you might be a bit surprised at how well it feels in the hand. My wife was the same way until she was using my iStick 30. then she had to have one.

If you want an eGo battery-type set up, lasting all day might be tricky. I used an 1100 mAh eGo to start (after the cig-a-like phase) and it lasted just about a day, but the modern tanks are more power hungry. If the biggest variable voltage control eGo is 1600 mAh (guessing) then that's what you want to go for. That's the spec of the CF Aspire VV battery as it happens.
I would call that battery the upgraded version of the one in the "premium kit" which is 1,000.

If you could bag the 1,600 Aspire CF + a mini Nautilus, you are in business. :)

Can't give you any advice that you haven't already heard, all are good suggestions. I felt like you did and wanted something that felt like a Cig or Cigar, I had no luck with the Cig A Likes, I threw a Blu and a Vuse out my car window and lit up a smoke lol

I was just about to purchase from VaporFi as well, until I went into my first Vape Shop and talked to a cool cat that set me straight. I purchased the eGo One starter Kit for $60.00 and haven't looked back, that was about 2 months ago. I always thought MOD boxes were a bit goofy and not for me, now I own 3...lol

The 20 watt and 30 watt are almost identical in size, 30 is actually an upgraded streamlined version. The 50 watt istick is bigger.
