Travel and Vaping Moving to Australia

Hey everyone,

In a few weeks I am moving from Alabama to Brisbane. I've got supplies set up there with my boyfriend, my main concern is traveling with the ecig. There are two legs of this trip- one from BHAM to LA. That one I am not worried about. There is a one day stopover in LA- then the other flight from LA to Brisbane. I was planning on taking my fully charged 510 and a couple of carts with me onto my flight to Brisbane. My backup Blu cigs and charger and other goodies (no liquid) would go into my checked luggage.

So what I am basically worried about is entering Australia. Will they take my precious 510? Should I check in in my luggage and take the Blu for the flight, as I don't care if they take that?

Never traveled outside of the states but I put my stuff in with my laptop stuff. No one has ever questioned it being there.

I just travelled domestically through Australia via 3 airports, they scanned my onboard luggage at each departure, no probs at all. Although I do feel sorry for you that you're going to brisbane and not Sydney or Melbourne

Howdy there! - I can certainly understand your concerns - I've just moved from Melbourne(AUS) to Kentucky with my entire E-cig collection!

I had the reverse issues though; worried the hell outta me going through security in the USA because they're much more thorough and have better scanning equipment! The security checkpoints in Melbourne and Sydney were crap in comparison. In the end I opted to travel with two fully charged 901's, USB passthru, my "indulgence" from eastmall and a 5ml liquid in my carry-on luggage...the rest of the stuff I packed and put in my checked luggage.

I dismantled all the on-board stuff and kept it in my laptop bag (which is always full of computer junk - external drives, Usb sticks, cables etc), the 5ml bottle of liquid i put in there as well with a little bottle of mouth freshener juice from walgreens - NO questions asked!

Just for safety though it's probably a good idea to whack a bit of electrical tape over the ends of the batteries so they don't come into contact with anything and discharge - especially if they're in your checked luggage.

End result...No probs! - I had some quality vaping moments in the LAX Departures terminal with plenty of nooks and crannies available and if there's lots of people - just head to the toilets for an extended vape.

AND if any knuckle-head/do-gooder hassles you in AUS for smoking the E-cig in public just smile and use the ole "ventolin" asthma line!
