When I got my MP1 I immediately noticed that it had very little epoxy holding the atty connector on. And while I have since read that MrPuff recommends a food safe glue like Gorilla Glue, I put a bunch of very cheap 2 part clear epoxy (I'm sure it's not food safe) on it.
The new class of Polyurethane adhesives have their uses, but they are meant to be clamped to achieve full strength.

I received my Clouds of Vapor Hi Drain IMR 14500 batts yesterday. I was totally excited to see how they would perform in my world. Unfortunately for me, I was one of the few that did remove the spring to allow the grey protected UltraFires to fit without stressing out the box. Since these HD IMR are way shorter, I went out to my workshop and found a spring that was a little long, but I cut in half, and BINGO, I was good to go!
Also props to CoV, I had ordered 4 grey UF batts a couple weeks ago and one was DOA. While ordering the new batts, I asked if they could help me out, they responded quickly with an apology and stated they would be sending me a replacement. Now that's customer service!
after 24 hours of service, I'm happy to report that these new IMR are a step up. They help to produce more heat, which to me, helps produce a better TH. As far as their longevity, they're comparable to the grey UFs.
BTW, I went to a B-day last night, and everyone had questions and comments concerning my MrPuffer MP1, all of which I was more than happy to answer or explain. I took this as an opportunity to help other "smokers" realize that there are alternative ways of getting their nicotine fix. One person asked if I was trying to quit, or if I was just attempting to get my nic fix. I told them a little of both. I repeated that I'd rather take my chances with approximately 20 chemicals to the reported 4,000 chemicals in an analog. All-n-all I think it went pretty good.

here's a tip for the Mp-1 (no light bulb). I got some 5ml samples from DAT'S vaper and the bottle fitted in my MP-1 snug but it fit OK. So to sample the juice, I was able to trade out the whole bottle(tank). It work's great, transfer the nipple and the tank pickup hose over to the sample bottle, it's slightly taller but it still works fine....
edit: maybe it's a three ml sample bottle..dunno..BTW, the Dat's tropical fruit juice is delish...

Here is my favorite set up: Use a 510 mega cartomizer from Nhaler, take the batting out of the mouthpiece and get your vape on. It works really well. The tube from the bottle is a wee tad short for my liking, but it still goes in. This will only work if you have the 510 connection. I tried using a kr808 turbo cart from Vapornine but the 901>510 adapter makes it too tall for the hose to reach.

I think I have seen using it successfully with KR8 cartos mentioned (the Turbos/all current higher resistance ones are a hair taller than regulars tho)... Maybe they made a hole in the carto itself... Or maybe it depends on whether it's an LED model, as it sounds like maybe the LED facilitates more hose length by propping the bottle higher. (On another thread ppl were saying the hose is shorter than they'd like, but on my LED one there's plenty of play, doubt anyone would want more or it might catch too easily. Have a stealth on the way so will see soon enough. On that note, if so, ppl who are finding the hose too short could probably just stick some do-dad under the bottle...)

Maybe the length of tubing used has even changed or something. But in any event, I assume tubing of the correct size could be obtained at stores like hardware, crafts, maybe aquarium... (perhaps aquarium store would be best if possible, since we use a 'fish safe' standard for other innovations like blue foam cart filler. Or wonder if some medical supply stores might have it). Anyway! Where there's a will there's a way -- I have a big KR8 carto stash and I bet I wouldn't have to let the tube length stop me from using it with the MP1 if I really wanted to! :D

Gammi, I'm pretty sure he's just taking the top off the carto (like some do when refilling or washing them), and sticking the MP1's empty cart/tip on it, i.e. first removing the chunk of polyfil that comes in the MP1's pre-modded cart. (Some ppl always use whistle tips or drip tips on their cartos, with any ecig/PV.) Then as usual the tube would perform the refills/top-offs for you.

jerryd5,

I've been trying to work this out too. I'm going on a trip in a few weeks, and it would be nice to have a few days worth of juice ready to go.

I found that if you take a 3ml bottle, (got mine when I ordered flavors from here) twist the cap almost off and run hot water over the thread and shoulder area for approximately 30 seconds (you could also use any other heat source that didn't melt the bottle), then compress the cap down toward the bottle for about 30 seconds (or run it under cold water) until it cools down. In effect, shortening the overall height of the bottle so that it fits in our beloved MP1, but still being able to screw the cap tight. I was also thinking of trimming about 1/8 to 3/16 off the cap, so when you screwed it on, it wouldn't pull the tip back up again.

If anyone else tries this, please let us know how it worked for you.

Thanks, I'll try this today. I have some empty 3ml bottles.

Miss MIA is correct in her description. I will try to post a pic tomorrow if you still need it.

I need it! I can't figure out how it doesn't just pour juice into your mouth if you take the filler out of the tip. The best I can picture is holding it straight up when you pump and it drips into the carto. Is this right? Is this enough to keep the carto from burning?

I made some new tips with smaller holes...I don't use the "sleeve" now, I just stick the hose into the hole with no "sealer ring sleeve".....I also angle cut the end of the hose, that goes into the cart, to make sure it wil always "leak" juice on the end where its supposed to if pressed up against the opposite wall.

What did you use to cut the holes? Size?

I just posted this concerning protected 14500 3.7V batteries;

———————————————————————————————————————
My reply;

I recently purchased a MrPuffer MP1 and bought 4 batteries from an online vendor. Once I received them, (one was DOA) I noticed that they read 3.6V on the side, worried I contacted MrPuff, he said that the voltage would work fine.

IMOA, the batteries are too long. They caused the box to distort, and now I've noticed a stress fracture on the side of the box where the battery sits. I have since removed the battery spring all together. This seems to have helped.

So, if you ask me, buy either Battery 3 or Battery 4 for your MP1. Their dimensions are shorter.
Dimensions: 1.97 in x 0.51 in x 0.51 in
Dimensions: 1.97 in x 0.59 in x 0.59 in
Compared to Battery 1 & 2 which are longer.
Dimensions: 2.01 in x 0.55 in x 0.55 in
Dimensions: 2.05 in x 0.57 in x 0.57 in
Hope this helps you other Puffheads out there get the right batteries!

I bought the dealextreme blue ultra fire- reads

LC 14500 900mah 3.6v They work great . . fit great.

thanks to both of you. Another question: I know these things take time but I am having trouble with the draw. I have a 901 atty. Dripper? My first one of these. The atty is recessed inside. Is this the right one. I tried one kind of juice but my jaws hurt now so I put my everyday vape in and I still get little of anything. I pump until the bubbles are gone (plus a second). I can hear the atty crackling and occasionally I get a good hit but not much more. Do I need a different atty? I took the filler out of the tip (was that wrong?). I am getting juice in my mouth quite a bit . . . . trying to get a hit.

pm2006,

When the 901 atty is off the MrPuffer, can you draw thru it okay? If not, there's your prob. Try a different atty.

If it draws fine while off, then you have any issue with vent holes getting covered up. Try loosening up the atty, in other words, don't tighten it all the way. Let us know if this helped.
