This is a pic of the Persimmon Pudding. I don't know how popular it is outside of the South-East region of the U.S., but us rednecks love it!!

The little fruit there, that's a Persimmon. Very bitter on the tree.....You wait til the first frost of the season, when they start to fall from the trees. That is when they are ripe for use.

I know it is a traditional southern Thanksgiving dish.
