So I asked this I the other thread and got a like from James for it. I was assuming he had an idea for an apple pie a la mode that is carried? Yes? No? Maybe? New flavour to come?

I would recommend a custom blend. 4 parts Dutch Apple Pie and 2 parts Vanilla Ice Cream.

James

Someone stated that he tested Flavor West Butterscotch and found 17,500ppm of diacetyl.

Are you taking FW's word that it doesn't contain any D or has MBV run any diacetyl tests on their product?

Please share any test results (or links to test results) on their butter or cream flavors.

Thanks

We do not use Flavorwest for our butter flavors.

My DIY FW Butterscotch tastes almost identical to my MBV +1

I believe you but wow. Did you ever? My MBV BS is from April & my FW BS is from 5/22

I PM'ed FW on Facebook and sent them message from their website. I'm waiting on their response.

Who else do you get flavors from?

At this time we are trying to keep our vendors on the down low. Out of respect for our new vendors we switched to in June. Sorry I can't be more forward. :(

I was wondering the same thing..re suppliers

there's a flavor called meringue from flavour art in Italy.. that one interests me but I am really not a DIY human - no steeping patience. Any thoughts toward sampling their line James? They also have some nifty florals.. violet..rose just a thought...

We do have samples from flavour art in Italy. Our research and development department has been playing around with it for a while.

So, I was making up a DIY and I mixed Mt Baker Vapor Coumarin Pipe Flavoring with a Blueberry (Extra) flavoring and a touch of Waffle flavoring. The hubby is just off of work a bit early and has asked what it was. Surprise, surprise he asked me for a clearo of it for his cigalikes that I've just gotten him to try! This is the first time he's shown an interest! I've tried all sorts of mods on him, the Gripper for about a week until he told me he'd prefer something more cigarette-like. I got him cigalikes and now he is loving this Blueberry Pipe DIY I've made!

I appreciate your discretion.
I know why it tastes the same because I got my MBV pre-June and have been nursing my 236ml of +1 since April.

Someone on FB said he tested FW Butterscotch and analysis results showed 17,500ppm of diacetyl in FW.
Yes, that's a lot more than none.
There's a discussion going on in the FB DIY group about it because it's important that the vaping community can believe what's posted on websites. FW claims their flavorings have NO diacetyl but a UK vendor claimed otherwise. PM will be completely discrete if there's anything the community should know about any vendor's honesty.

Well I will be placing an order on Thursday night after work (payday) and I know what I am getting as it's already in the cart. Some of these flavors sound really good, but I been watching the veteran reviews and picked 3 I think I will like. 30 ml of root beer, thug juice and cinnamon roll plus I need to add a couple tanks that I can put harsher ejuices in. Also got to order a kit for a friend. The retailers here are horrible in selection and accessories. I got them hooked on a couple vapes I purchased elsewhere. I been kind of trying different things. I have a caramel candy that doesn't taste bad from a retailer not on this site, who has had some decent reviews on you tube. I have a black licorice that is REALLY good. I had one drag before my cheapo ebay CE4 took a crap and the ejuice became a new cologne. Did this twice before I gave up LOL. Looking forward to getting some new vapes. Can we make certain requests on the free sample? Wife is not big on citrus or hot stuff. Another question would 50/50 be the best mix for those flavors with a mini pro tank and standard ego battery? Or should I go higher on the PG? I am big into flavor.

speaking of the mini protanks.....

i got a couple of them and love them except for one thing. the replacement coils i got (that are SUPPOSED to be universal for regular protanks as well as the mini's) look the same, but they must have some slight difference. the threaded ego adapter that goes on over the coil goes on easy with the coil the unit came with. but with the new ones, it's a struggle for me to get the threads started. it's like the new coil is just a bit taller or something, keeping the two threaded pieces from fitting right.

so am i doing something wrong or did i get the wrong coils or what???? gaah-smiley.gif

just a thought (i use mini ptank 2 bases on my mini davides), did your coils screw on straight? if it's at a slight angle, it's the chamber inside and not the thread under that may be causing your problem.

if it isn't that, maybe threads of the base are gunked with a little carbon, those bases run pretty hot (which is why i use then. the davides ran really cool).

this is probably the wrong place to discuss this but what the heck. the threads are fine, it's just that the two pieces don't reach each other without really pressing down. yet with the original coil, it's fine. i know i don't do such a good job splaining about mechanical stuff, sorry.

*looks at av*

*gulps*

did you put the original coil in after trying the 2nd one??

maybe you did get a funky coil, but ptank coils are better than most others, esp davides.

you got 2 mini ptanks right? did you try the "other" 2nd coil in it?

i would reconsider taking the coil out and putting it back it making sure it was straight.

other options are that your original coil pushed the battery post down. you could pull it up just a smidgen.

well i dunno. seems to be the same thing with both tanks. original coil, all the pieces go together easy. new coil, its a PITA. someone told me even tho they say the coils are the same they aren't. guess i will have to wait til someone comes along who has had the same issue. :p

but thanks for all the suggestions, sam :)
