I just got my first order from Mt Baker Vapor and the juice has absolutely no flavor. I didn't pay for the flavor shots as I thought this unnecessary since the 3 other juice brands I've used up until now had tons of flavor as soon as I got the bottles. While I ordered 100% VG I was expecting some flavor. It has zero, nada, ziltch.

I have some 80% VG from madvapes and it has tons of flavor. Can 20% PG make that much of a difference or is this just a ploy?

And please don't tell me to steep it. I'll do it since I have no choice but I really don't have a month to wait and non of the other 8 or 9 flavors I've tried needed any steeping whatsoever.

BTW, I've reordered it with maximum flavor shots and 20% PG just to test.

I usually order 1 or 2 extra flavor shots from MBV. I tried one juice with five flavor shots just to experiment and learned my lesson. Perhaps it is your choice in mix that caused the lack of flavor? I use 50%, 50% and have found MBV juices with 1 or 2 shots to be as tasty or even more so than other more expensive vendors! As always, no two people have the same taste buds so you will just have to experiment to find what works for you.

I've only ordered once from MBV (I have a local B&M who makes some great juices - a little more expensive, but instant gratification works wonders for the soul.) I didn't understand the "extra flavor shot" concept when I ordered, so I did not order any. Most of the juices were decent from the get-go. Hazelnut was by far the weakest flavor, but today (6 weeks after born-on date) I can taste a little bit. I'm wondering if it's related to my tastebuds not being fully engaged - vapor's tongue? Or maybe it's because I've started rebuilding my own coils?

My local B&M did add flavor shots for me (and I don't think I paid any extra for them)

I do have to admit - from that order, my freebie was Cake (80/20, 12mg) that took me a LONG time to come to grips with (and I just noticed.... it has a label with born-on date of 5/4/2014, but my MBV order was 4/8/2014 - HMMMMMMMMM That's disconcerting....) I just mixed a tank with part Cake and part Maple Pecan, and it tastes like breakfast! Makes both those juices more tolerable....

One of my favorite MBV juices is Extreme Ice. One or two flavor shots is an ADV for me. The sample with five shots was overpowering. I remember vaping it and hating it. It tasted nothing like what I was used to despite having the same nic level and percentage of vg/pg. I guess if you try five shots and don't like it, you could mix it with a bottle with zero shots?

Sometimes on the freebie they use a day/month/year format so your sample was actually made April 5.

Sounds like your mind is already made up.

MBV are a decent juice company, I do repeat order a couple of flavors with 0-1 flavor shots at max VG. I've had a few flavors from them that were on the weaker side, but to answer your question directly, no, I don't believe the flavor shots is a money making thing.

Their vanilla is one of those on the weaker side for sure, but it should have some flavor. As for some juices needing steeping and some not, that's just a thing. If you don't want to steep because none of your other purchases needed steeping, that's fine - but MBV juices notoriously need a steep to a) get rid of the perfume aroma and b) to develop flavors.

Contact them on their website. Chat with a juice mixer and see what they say. I've found their juices OK but their customer service is excellent.

I decided to contact them today and suffice to say, I'm not at all pleased. What a lousy company.

I brought up 2 problems. The ZERO flavor issue and a shipping issue that cropped up between my initial order and the 2 orders that should be in my hands today but yet they're not (Their system lost my apartment number somehow). They just told me to steep the juice for 2 to 4 weeks and completely ignored the shipping issue.

They did initially answer promptly. It only took 23 minutes to get a reply but it's now been over 2 hours waiting on a second reply that I don't think is ever coming.

When I had an issue with AquaVapor they were on the ball right away and corrected it 13 minutes after I had left a voicemail with them.

I guess they lost a potential lifetime customer. Oh well.

If you had bothered checking the actual MBV tread on this forum, you would have quickly known that vanilla is known to be a weak flavor on it's on. Ordering it in high VG would not be expected to have much flavor at all especially as a stand alone flavor. They offer the flavor shots so that each person can tailor their juice to the VG/PG/Nic that they use, not as a rip off. MBV juices are made after you order, not premade, that is why they usually require steeping.
The labels are generated direct from the form you filled out for address.
Even people who don't care for MVB juices will attest that they have some of the best customer service in the industry. They even have a tread in the vendor section of this forum. You can post your issues right there so that the owner will actually see it.

It's not a question of weak. It's a question of no flavor whatsoever. I've said that more than once.
I've tried 2 other brands of vanilla and had no issues with flavor so it's definitely not a vanilla thing and I'm not the only one complaining. Just read the reviews on their site. I did, but stupid me gave more weight to the good reviews because I wanted vanilla so badly. These are some of the ones I ignored....

French Vanilla is one of my top favorite flavors, so I was really looking forward to getting this. After a month of steeping it tastes like plastic. Terrible. Guess I will let it steep another month and see, but I doubt it will make a difference.

Let me clarify what was meant. Most people that have used MBV Vanilla know that it is a weak flavor. It is generally used as a mixer in other more prominent flavors. By itself it is weak. When I see a number of bad reviews on a flavor from any vendor I don't buy it and most vendors have some less than stellar flavors. MBV Vanilla is one.
