I've used cotton, which tastes great, but I love to dry burn my coils, so I went back to silica. Last night I ordered ekowool because I've heard such good things about it. Mine always taste good but since a lot of the juices I like are coil gunkers, they don't last as long as I'd like. I try to clean them every two to three tanks but sometimes I get a little lazy on that. Do you pre fire your wire before you wrap it? That helps take off some of the oil that tastes like crap if you skip that step. It also makes the wire easier to work with and I can usually do a quick 6 coil wrap standing at the counter in a minute or so. I pre fire and dry burn them to test them before I use them too. It seems to help.
