I'm very sorry to hear that, it's frustration and maddening. I had that happen to me about 2 years ago, I had requested that they send me paper bills instead of e-mail bills and I had confirmed a few times with some of the customer reps who assured me that I was being sent paper bills, well I didn't get one but went online to pay my bill as that is how I always pay, the payment was made at 7:00am I went to bed and was awakened by the LACK of sound as I have to sleep (when I am able) with a fan blowing on me and if it does out I know it immediately, anyway, I went outside to see if there was a power outage all 5 of my neighbors had power so I went around to where the Power Meter is and caught the guy who had his truck backed in and wanted to know what the hell was going on he told me that it was disconnected for non-payment, told him it was paid etc, etc, he didn't want to discuss it, I told him he could come in to see my receipt on the computer he wouldn't do it and said there was nothing he could so, I got ...... and told him to call his office which he also didn't want to do, I mean come on it's a friggin phone call, well he was going to do it they got real pissy with me, big mistake, but I held back but decided he was leaving until he contacted his office, he got in his truck to leave and I got in front of it and would not let him out, this went on for 15 minutes and he finally gave up and called the office and they confirmed it was their mistake, well he put the meter back in, next months bill comes and there was an additional charge for restoring service, well 1 1/2 hours of arguing with the damn electric company they finally applied their screw up to my next bill.
As Kelli I hate all these damn monopolies!
Sorry to hear all this, but I use to be that guy. Mind you, at that time, 2003 and prior, I could accept a check from you, good or bad, I'd take it. But then those blood thirsty Exec's became more greedy. The reason I believe is because for 70+ years, company's and people did what was right. Mid - late 80's, that all stopped. We've had probably 5 CEO's since then, and they all have to scrape closer and closer to the marrow of the bone to sqeeze what little scrap money is left over from the last guy.
It's really just called micro-management, and it keeps getting worse. They are presently borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. Similar to ALL those heartless politicians
