Good morning MBV :) TGIF

I feel better now that you're looking at us again :) Have a good one today!
what's the impact of using 28 gauge wire vrs 32 in coils? (in n00bspeak, please :?:)
....
Hmmmm....a loaded question, really. 28g Kanthal is lower resistance than 32g Kanthal. The shortest answer is that given the same length and power from the battery, the 28 will heat faster and hotter. There will be other differences in performance depending on the type of coil and set up you are planning....and a bunch of factors can come into play with attys and batteries...so it's not the simplest question to answer. HTH.

i was thinking on delving into micro coils, but i was wondering if i could also use the 28g in regular coils while i work on micro coils. as a regular coil, would 28g drain batteries quicker? but, would it also bring out the taste in juice? or would it be too hot? (or should i just grab a little bit more 32? i plan on using 1mm silica until i work out the micro coils)

and todd just finished mixing the sound, so the "awats" tour will soon be on dvd. plus, i needed the laugh:

TGIF!!!!! Although I work Saturdays, it's not my typical 9 hour shift, so it's like visiting friends when I go in on Saturdays :p

Got my order in =]

24 Guage Kanthal Wire - 3 Feet
Cake (Yellow) E Juice Baker Vapor
Caramel Apple E Juice Baker Vapor
Dutch Apple Pie E Juice Baker Vapor
Graham Cracker E Juice Baker Vapor
Pumpkin Spice E Juice Baker Vapor
Strawberry Shortcake E Juice Baker Vapor

I had to add more and more until I hit that free shipping once I used the ECF coupon :p But, it's easy to add on with that 24 gauge Kanthal wire :p I'm excited to find it! The largest wire I've used is 27 gauge and it's not quite as large as I'm wanting to make so super permanent coils that don't change shape removing Ekowool/cotton/silica =]

I asked for a Peanut Butter sample and a picture of my Shih Tzu, Emmy User Media - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting :p

You can use 28g for both "regular" and micro coils. Generally speaking, a lower resistance wire can drain the battery faster...with that being said, a lot of folks use even lower resistance wire for coils. How you want to tailor your vape depends on everything really...some juices (for me) don't taste great with super low resistance coils, while others taste better (but that also depends on the atty as well).

What I'm trying to get at here is that you will only discover what works and what doesn't with some experimentation. It is definitely worth buying some 28g IMO, just to find out. I've happily settled on 30g as my go-to, but I still have just a little 28g and a bunch of 32g in the supply box. I hope that makes sense and helps...

Just keep in mind that the thicker the wire the longer it will take to get up to temperature.

Yes, thanks for that =] I've noticed that it took a bit to get the coils heated. I'll make sure I remember not to put it in a topper and use it on a mod with a 10 second cutoff LOL
