OK, I have to ask. Is the Wild Cherry you have the one MBV sells? I got a shipment yesterday and I love the flavor of it but the throat hit is the strongest I have ever witnessed. I can barely take a puff without coughing for 2 minutes after. Does it mellow after a bit of steeping? Or did I get a mis-mixed batch that I need to contact them about.

Yeah, MBV Wild Cherry.
I made some WC & some Cheesecake a few months ago and it steeped for weeks before hitting them.
It was pretty smooth so I'd imagine the TH in yours will dissapate with steeping.

I can't speak for Sucker Dad, but for my palate Thug Juice is a menthol and fruit candy flavor. Hawk Sauce is just a bit of mint with more of a true fruit flavor. To me, Thug Juice is less complex and more bold. :2c:

Interesting imma have to try it . After thug juice aged it tasted more like bubble gum to me. A little menthol for a kick. But vaping these non menthol juices are making me miss it

My thoughts exactly. Everyone here and my wife are what is keeping me sane. You're all the best and I really am thankful to have such a supportive group. I hope everyone in Illinois are safe. I read about it earlier but didn't have time to comment. If anyone was affected please let me know. I can send a little care package when I get home.

Sent from my Astromech in a galaxy far, far away. The force is with me. so is Mr. chicken.

I hope things go smoothly for you and your family, stay as positive as you can. I will be sending you positive vibes!

just got netflix. is there anyway to use close captions on your TV?

Hey, Sam. Er, from memory, and assuming you're running netflix directly through your tv, I believe it's Netflix -- (select whatever movie or TV show you want) -- options -- Audio & Subtitles.

I don't have netflix, but friends do, thus the "from memory," or I'd doublecheck... but I'm pretty sure that's right.

miss you ~k~

I miss her too, hope she's okay.

Aha. Actually, I know there's a way to get captions to work through hdmi, but I can't remember the specifics. I'll check with my Deaf buddies and get back to you.

that would be cool. i've been looking at the issue for quite a while. i have tinnitus. i like to be able to catch all of the dialogue, and not disturb the neighbors at the same time.

i've got the subtitles on my laptop, just need them for the tv.

Totally understood... I run the CC wherever I can find it just because it's a small house with loud occupants, so I'll miss half the dialogue without. (Thought about getting a wireless headset, but then I'd have one or more of them tapping me on the shoulder every five minutes, so CC it is.) I've also noticed a disturbing trend in TV these days, wherein the soundtrack often swells to cover the dialogue almost entirely. I don't know what kind of sound engineers are working in TV these days, or who thought it would be "edgy" or "cool" to drown the dialogue with the score, but I find it obnoxious.

Cue the ":censored: kids, get off my lawn!"

What kind of a device are you using to watch netflix? I may be wrong, but I think netflix just uses an overlay for CC, not an actual CC signal, so it should work okay even over HDMI. Perhaps there are additional settings in the device somewhere?

When I was just a wee lad, still living with my Mama, she always had CC on. I don't actually need it myself, I usually watch TV pretty loud going through the surround sound, but I always have CC on, I miss it if it's not available. I guess once you get used to it, it's hard to go without :)

I just looked up blu-ray player support on netflix.com, looks like there quite a few models that don't actually support subtitles at all. That's a shame really, as I'm sure it's a widely used feature. Amazon sells Roku's, prices ranging from about $50 to $100, I can recommend these devices as they will supprt subtitles, and also a lot of other things like Hulu and Youtube :)

does Roku make a streaming device that is also blu ray player? i only have 2 hdmi plugs in my tv. one for blu ray and the other for another dvd player, though i suppose i could move it.

i have 3 dvd players hooked up to my tv, cuz my blu ray won't play PAL. the other cheap one is for dvd-r that won't play on the other 2.

Nope, the Roku is a stand alone box. I have the same power struggle myself, 2 HDMI ports, and 4 HDMI devices :)
