I would feel weird with a 236ml bottle. The entire time I had it I would be thinking 'hope my taste buds don't change' or that bottle is going to be a tower of fail over NY 50ml bottles. Annnd I just found out the wife did not mail seanchai's surprise yet. I will have to make sure it gets done Friday or Monday.

Yep. See. It is weird. Dang Ambien. Now I'm quoting myself. I'm like the drunk family member at Thanksgiving now.

236ml = endless supply of my favorites =] Have a co-worker that I'm trying to get into vaping instead of the cigars he is partial to. He wants a caramel peach flavor much like his favorite cigar. He took a toot of my Hawk Sauce and has been asking about a vape kit ever since. I've got some eGo kits already, but now I'm looking at my 236ml of Hawk sauce and thinking about giving him the FAUX Hawk Sauce LOL The Hawk Sauce has finally mellowed out and it's as fine as any tobacco vape I've paid WAY TOO MUCH FOR with other vendors :p I am partial to tobacco vapes, Hawk Sauce isn't actually a tobacco juice LOL

It'll be weirder if you go out in the yard, look straight up, hold your arms out to the sides and spin around fast.

:)

Alternatively, if you lean toward your monitor, the letters in various words will start crawling around on the screen. Some years ago, I Ambien-hallucinated that I'd fallen through the monitor and got stuck on top of the task bar. I don't Ambien-and-internet anymore. ;)

Bah. I told you, I was just paying forward some juice Mia was good enough to send me - we didn't want you going without your cinnamon roll! No reciprocation required or expected, and I'm certainly not timing you. ;)

So those of you who mbv diy.. I've let a few different creations steep for a few weeks. I try them and they are faint. I did 15-20% flavoring. I'm wondering if having no sweetener in them is playing a part in this. Like my moo juice, I can taste the flavor its there, just weak and different.hmpf.

The words are crawling in, out, in, out... I know, I didn't mean to post that. I suck at Ambien apparently. Sigh.

What is his favorite cigar, brand, gauge' length? If I have had it before I can help you build a concoction that might work.

I wonder if building a micro coil with 32 gauge kanthal for a pt 2 head would be pointless. Being able to quickly replace cotton or cooking twine and dry burning is beginning to appeal to me more than totally rebuilding the heads.

This way I just replace the wick and burn while it is out to clean it... might suffice until I can get some supplies and a Kay fun clone or something similar in January.

Thoughts?

i use 30 gauge 8 wrap on 1/16 drill bit micros in my protanks and evods and I love em....I'd do it you never know until you try. I rebuild heads and DIY juice because it occupies my time with vape related activities .....if I didn't id be spending more and more money on things plus I like to tinker.

oh and wishing all you MBVers a happy thanksgiving

Yah I did 15%... Just using 50/50 in both plain and nic

Yah I've read that. Didn't really help. Weak smells leads me to assume weak flavor as well ;)
I'm more interested in the sweetener effects.
I use 15-18% on mine. I find that I need to up the wattage on some to bring the flavor out.
That'd only work for some pvs :/

Don't think I've seen higher than 20% yet, there are a few that I pick up various gear related items offerin' the 20% :)

the folks I get my gear from are doing 30%, cept they're out of my coils *gasp* I had 30 of em waiting in my cart and *poof* gone over the weekend.. so bummed.. might be using cartos for my new juice if they're not back soon - darn proprietary threading.. I even get confused about connectors.
I reeeeeeeally don't want to rebuild coils.. much less locate a proper meter.. trying to talk hubby into doing it for me.. he, so far, has not been biting.
As it is, I can barely get the stem out to just change a top wick... never mind the one that's trapped in the coil - can't dry burn with that one in there - managed to get one apart to take a look.

I have a fairly substantial cart going for mvb.. didn't have any 236's in it.. I usually order 2 of the #50s of the same flavor in two different nic levels.. morning and night vapes :)
just glad to see the cinnamon flavors back

Thanks for trying on the notification thing Mike - just keeping an old notification in my inbox and checking back when I can.

For the stem - vice grips. I keep a small pair in my juice/tank/ancillaries toolbox now cause I don't have the grip strength to pull the post without bending/snapping something. Vice grips do the trick with very little force.

For the wick within the coil, you can dryburn without pulling that out, as long as it's silica (which, if it's a stock wick, it is) or mesh. Neither of those can burn - heat just cleans them. The reason you want to pull the flavor wicks before you dry burn isn't because you'll burn up the flavor wicks. It's so that you can see the coil, and so that the junk burning off the coil can actually burn *off* rather than just getting stuck in the flavor wicks/assembly.

Here's how I do it -

Pull the stem with some vice grips.

Remove the flavor wicks.

Screw coil/base onto PV.

(Check voltage, if you have variable voltage - I don't like doing this over about 3.5V)

Pulse fire the PV, slowly, until the smoke stops and you can see the whole coil light up when you fire it. If you've never done a dry burn before, it's worth noting that the first few times you fire it, it may seem like *nothing* happened. When you vape a lot of gunky juices, it can take several pulses for the gunk to start getting hot enough to loosen up and start to burn off.

As soon as there's no smoke and you can see the whole coil light, you're done. (you should also notice that that inner wick within the coil looks very clean.)

Blow through the coil assembly a few times to loosen any ash that might still be on the coils/wick. You can rinse it off, if you like, but then you have to allow time for the coils to dry, and I'm usually too impatient for that.

Cut new wicks (or burn the old ones clean with a lighter/torch... I rarely bother with that, cutting new wicks is easier).

If the new silica refuses to hang together after you've cut it, drip a few drops of PG or whatever flavor you're planning to vape next onto said wicks - it'll help the strands stay together.

Position the new wicks, trim any excess, and replace the stem.

That's it, you're done - Reassemble, fill, prime it, and vape.

You may get a slightly burnt taste at first if you don't rinse your coils after blowing out any ash, but it goes away within just a few vapes.

I vape 50/50 as well...most of my MBV DIY is mixed at 12%, and none are more than 15%. However, that works for my palate and devices. I would recommend dividing one of your less flavorful batches and add a little more flavoring to one part and slightly dilute the other part with nic base. Hopefully, once you try each of them you'll know which direction you would want to take from there. I rarely add flavor shots, but I think you've posted that you've added 2 in the past (is that correct???). If you usually get flavor shots, I would guess the mini batch with the bumped up flavor will be better for you. Good luck! :)

Stone always to the rescue!! He he yah I do get mostly two flavor shots. Good idea with splitting them..
I keep seeing people say how they love to vape unflavored... So I put a few drops or strawberry in with just some Nic. Should be interesting to try it, but I'm pretty sure I like more flavor lol
