So even if I smoked a pack a day should I go at 18 for less harshness and to avoid getting nic sick?

24 + is usually reserved for pack and a half to 2 packs. Then again, some people just like to taste their nic. :p

I started at 16mg (local BM) went up to 18mg. and have a bottle of 24mg that has been aged so long it's probably at 18mg too. Went down to 12mg but realized this may be too low for me so I alternate. Tried 6mg but it's just one loooooong inhale. I literally went through 2.5ml in an hour at 6mg. No bueno. :p

it's difficult to answer that question. a lot depends on how much you vape. i only vape about 3-5 ml per day, so i am in little danger of getting nic sick. if you vape 30 ml a day, much more chance. but 12-18 is a nice mid range to vape and be safe, i think :)

I remember the two times I got nic sick. They were both Opus X cigars. They are so subtle and really sneak up on you. Best way to avoid getting that upset stomach is to eat a full meal though. Can't do much about getting lightheaded besides stopping. :p

Yeah, I have to do that anyway to avoid the upset stomach from chemo (tiny weekly doses to treat the RA, but my body does not tolerate the stuff well). I used to at least stop for a while when the battery ran out, but with the MVP, that doesn't happen anymore. :lol: I probably need to get some 0 nic on my next order for those times when I know I'm topped up nic wise but I need the physical act of vaping. No big deal though, I've got plenty of 6 around in the meantime.

It's different for everyone. My mom smoked about a pack and a half a day of lights and she needs 24mg because she likes to "hit it and quit it" so to speak... she'll vape for five minutes, stick it back in her pocket and go about her business, which is how she likes it. Me, I smoked about a pack a day of the same brand, but I'll sit here and chain vape for hours, enjoying the flavors, so I need about 15mg nic (scaling down to 9 or 6 once the sun's down). Other people who smoke(d) exactly the same amount of exactly the same brand might prefer 12 or 18 or even 6 (6 is probably too low for *most* pack a day smokers to start, but I'm sure there are some who were fine with it).

Generally if you're not sure where to start, it's good to get a couple different strengths... you can always just vape more of the lower strength, or mix some of the high octane with the lower stuff if the higher strength ends up too high for you.

I was PAD. My first juices after Blu cartos were 20mg and 25mg.

I chain vaped without any OD symptoms.

Then I got some 18mg just because 25mg seemed like a lot and I remembered the Blue cartos being 18mg (or something close to that). I chain vape that too, with the same satisfaction...so I'll stick with that for awhile.

I don't know what any of that means, if anything, but that's what I do.

I will say that the 25mg juices I still have do have an off taste about them - I assume it's what other people describe as peppery, though I wouldn't say that exactly....and they do hit a lot harder, which is something that I don't like.

My 18mg juices taste much better to me than my 20 and 25s did.

Yep. I accidentally picked up a bottle of 24 one day and filled a tank half full before I realized my mistake. Didn't want to dump it back in the bottle and risk ending up with more juice on the table than in the bottle, so I vaped it...and all I could taste was the nic. Tongue-numbingly undelicious!

On the plus side, I didn't vape anything else for the rest of the day, so I saved myself about 5 ml of my usual juice. :lol:

i know, sean.....i can't believe how 24 mg scorches my poor little throat when i vape it now. and to think i used to do that regularly!

I was making e-juice for a guy that vapes 50ml of 36mg 80/20 per week.
I tried some and couldn't even taste the difference between flavors.
It all tasted like a forest fire.
I made him a bottle at 14% instead of the 14.5% he usually vapes to see if he could actually taste the difference or if he's just a psycho.
He told me it was kinda weak, did I do something different? :blink:
He's still a psycho though.

There are a few factors that can enter into this equation, the type of delivery device you are using, how much and how ofter you vape. 18 would be a good starting point if you start feeling edgy you may want to go down to 12mg of nic.

When I first started I was on the high level 36mg and 24mg, I quickly did away with the 36mg and stayed with 24mg for 2 1/2 months that it got to be too much so I dropped it to 18mg, I am not doing some 18mg but much less now, I'm at 12mg and at night 6mg.

Your body is going to be the best indicator of what you will need to adjust.
