I spent $3 on a 510 to Ego adapter, for three reasons:

1. The MVP2 has some *deep* threading, so occasionally I'll run across a tank that can't quite connect on the native threads. One of my ARO tanks does this - the other two don't.

2. I switch tanks a lot, so I prefer to save the threads on my MVP some wear and tear. Keeping an adapter on there means all that wear happens on the $3 adapter and not on the $45 mod.

3. With the adapter on, I don't have to screw around (ha - I'm punny this morning, apparently) with removing the beauty ring for Ego threaded stuff and putting it back on for 510 threaded stuff.

this is a good little item to snag from FT:

Morning friends! I was just sniffing my sherbet. It smells soo good. still separating a little. i may pseudo drip some into a reo later :X
So my 3rd reo is MIA! :( tracking said it'd be here the 4th, but it apparently just deparated pheonix and is mia now :( I hope it randomly shows up today and usps tracking is just wonky. I haven't ever had issues with tracking or packages though. So if some mail person stole it, im sure theyd be sadly disappointed and have no idea what it is

Speaking of REOS, there is so much raving about them it has peaked my interest. This being your 3rd is a good sign too ;) unless its because the first 2 went bye bye..
i do wish they came in a kit with all parts included..lol..not a techy person here and not sure what to get besides the actual REO mini ....I know I need a good atomizer but the ones Ive been looking at are sold out...and Im a little confused about which battery I would need. Anyway, I hope your newest addition shows up soon !!

Hahah no i have my first two still! they're my best friends! Seriously, im not a techy person either, and i hate tinkering with vaping stuff. all i have to do now is once in a while make a coil, and every day or so i swap out the cotton wick. Even making a coil and cleaning up the reomizer takes me only like 5 mins.

i have 3 reomizer 2.0's from reosmods.com and have had a ton of good luck using them(and i couldn't even recoil a protank head to taste good, and with the rm2's ive been rocking them). they don't have like a "package' but really all i bought was a few extra bottles, the reomizer, the reo itself, and some 18490 batteries. I did get a few extra screws, and a spring just in case.
I had never dripped, and never used a rba, and now within what a month? i only want to use my reos :)

yup, everything i needed i got there. i bought my mini 2.1 there, but snagged my other (older) mini 2.0's off the classies.

it did take me about 2 weeks to learn how to squonk correctly, and even so i still flood the atty well sometimes, but i just unscrew it and dab a paper towel at it, and it's back to vaping.

and to get my cotton issue resolved. the cvs sterile cotton has been a life saver. zero cotton taste, just juice.

Fingers crossed for your REO, Mia - USPS has been all kinds of wonky lately. Not quite as wonky as the time I sent a birthday card to Northern Ireland (with "Northern Ireland" clearly spelled out in full on the envelope, since that's the least political way to address things going in that direction) and it arrived 9 months late having detoured through Nicaragua and then Nigeria... but wonky, nonetheless. At least in your case it's probably in the correct country. ;)

I keep looking at REOs and then reminding myself why they're wholly impractical for me - namely, I *so* do not have the coordination for that business. I drop my MVP *quite* enough! Maybe once I've got a year or two of vaping under my belt and my fingers no longer complain about too much button pushing.

(Typing is fine, cause I've been doing that for 28 years - vaping, even with an Ego or an 808, and man do I feel it by the end of the day. As with typing, my body will eventually realize that I don't plan on allowing my joints to call the shots, and will knock it off... it's already decided that I must be serious about the MVP, so using that now hurts *less* than any other PV. RA is weird, what can I say.)

Hope your REO shows up safe and sound, anyway. :)

NIGERIA?! LOL how bizarre!

my hands sometimes bother me. not sure why, maybe 5 years of excessive gaming, or work. who knows (not RA bc i was tested lol). so squonking sometimes does bother me, but i think im getting used to it. I use my thumb where as i read alot of people seem to use other fingers. Thumb is easy. they do seem a tini bit heavier than my 1300 ego, but not much. i'm not sure how it compares in size/weight to the mvp though. i imagine very similar. the button you actually need very little pressure to use. i have very small hands, and the mini's fit perfectly in them.
they say the reos are virtually indestructible. they've been ran over by cars and stuff Lol. i've dropped mine on the counter, and knocked them over quite a few times :X with no ill effects. but you do have to rebuild the coil every so often, and replace the wick each day, which i think may give you issue?

NIGERIA?! LOL how bizarre!

This was pre-internet and thus my family was a bit of an anomaly in sending/receiving a lot of overseas mail, so my guess is it got mis-keyed at the post office because they got flustered when they saw some "furrin" country they'd never heard of... I remember having to go a few rounds with the guy behind the counter, "No, not Ireland, the Republic of Ireland is a different country. No, really, it is. You really don't want me to explain why, I'd need a map, an easel and four hours of your time, just trust me. NORTHERN Ireland. Yes, it's the same island, but it's a different *country*. Like Canada and the US. Really. I promise. No, you *really* don't want to hear my 1916 Easter Rising lecture, just look up Northern Ireland in your computer. No, you *can't* just type in Ireland, or it will go to the WRONG COUNTRY." etc. Anyway, I'm betting he just keyed in NI (thus pulling up Nicaragua), but that doesn't explain how it got from there to Nigeria. By the time it got to its destination, it had enough "quite interesting!" stamps on it for my buddy to start a stamp collection, so that's something!

I'd bet it's similar in weight to the MVP, yeah, maybe even a little lighter.

I'm not too worried about breaking one - they seem very solid! But I don't have much independent finger movement thanks to the cerebral palsy - generally, using one finger will cause my whole hand to follow that finger. So if I ever do get a REO, the end result will probably be me automatically, unintentionally holding it in a deathgrip for a few months while I "train" my hands to handle that very specific task - which can be done, but it takes time. One of the weirdest things about CP is that being able to do task A in *no way* translates to being able to do similar task B, even when it uses the exact same muscles... so when I switch vaping gear, I have to "teach" my fingers how each battery works. Once it's in there, it stays there, but the "teaching" process takes at least a few weeks, sometimes a few months. When I moved to a different house with the exact same layout as the house I'd lived in for 23 years, my feet and legs refused to walk because the carpet was the wrong color. (I realize this makes me sound like a lunatic, but I swear to god it's true. Mentally, I did not give a :censored: what color the carpet was, but my feet and legs were going "Ahhh! Visual stimuli NOT IDENTICAL! What if it's a trap?! We'll freeze for a month or two, just in case.") I dragged myself along the walls for about a month and a half till my brain had "mapped" the new place, realized it was exactly the same as the old place, and went "Oh, geez, sorry about that, whew, never mind, we're cool."

I used to think either *I* was nuts, or people with CP were nuts. Then Michael J Fox did an interview where he was talking about one of his last days on Spin City, and they got the call to go on set. A fellow cast member was chatting to him in the doorway of his dressing room, and the cast member moved to one side of the doorway so Mike could step past him. Mike just stood there, then muttered, "Uh... sorry... you're going to have to move before I can move. I mean, my legs won't move until yours do. I mean - look, I know this is weird, and I know I've got plenty of room to go around you, but since you're in my field of vision, my legs are not agreeing with this plan. So I'm stuck here till you move."

Cue me going, "Oh my God, Michael J Fox gets that same weird thing!" So yeah... it's some sort of neurological short circuit that also means typing doesn't translate to an Ego button which doesn't translate to an MVP button which doesn't translate to sqonking because if my brain hasn't done it enough to "learn" that *particular* task, it makes me start from scratch.

Replacing the wick every day I could probably handle. Perversely, the finer the work, the better I tend to be able to get at it over time (after three years of dissection in various Bio classes, I always had the most immaculate specimens in my Anat & Phys class. Took me twice as long to do the job, but looked twice as good, too!) Building coils, I suspect it would depend on how often I'd need to do that... but that's why I'm dipping my toe into coil building now, slowly, when it's not a necessity for me to have to build a coil before I can get a good vape. I suspect I'll get there eventually, but it'll probably take a year or two to "teach" my fingers how to do it with any kind of proficiency... and winter's generally not the time for me to make much progress on a task like that, so I probably won't make much headway till spring. It's on my "to-do" list - I may well reward myself with a REO once I get there, but there's no point in getting one before then, cause it would just sit there mockingly as I curse my way through teaching my fingers how to work. ;)

You're more than welcome to, Butch, as is anyone else. :)

Seanchai, my good man, you should:

A) start blogging you posts here

and

B) start another blog with your writings on them. you write beautifully and it's sad that your posts have to get buried.

you're quite the man, my brother. you make the world a better place.

thank you!
