DustyZYeh man, I have not had the day that you have had. In the grand sceme of it all my day was a cake walk :)

anyone seen this yet? Study: E-Liquid Makes The Grade | Ecig Advanced News

The really sad part is that there are others out there that have it much worse then I do, some of the things I see break my heart! Material things can at some point in time be replaced, lives cannot and some memorabilia such as pictures. But, hey chit happens!

Never tried cotton. From what I understand, everyone says it's better, but I have never had an issue with silica, and I have a tendency to not pay attention and take a puff when my coil is too dry, which would be quite bad on cotton if I understand that correctly.
Hey, if silica works for you, keep using it :toast: You are correct...a dry cotton hit is much worse than a dry silica hit, IMO.

You do a fair amount of coil building, right? What is your preferred build as far as silica goes? I have been trying a bunch of different sizes and amounts, I think I have settled on 3.5mm folded over once to be working best for me as far as wicking goes. Thoughts? Anyone?
even i can use cotton!! and i suck at wicks and stuff :p i never could get my silica to taste good in rebuilt pt coils. but cotton is working well in my rba.
My first mbv order came, I knew I couldn't wait so I put them in a towel on a heating pad turned down low, temp probe in the towel read 105 degrees. Left it for a few hours and pulled the moo juice out and put on my hobby paint shaker for 5 minutes to fill up a mini pt2. I put it back in the towel....

It is good, if it gets better \o/

o.m.g. im so going to put my juice wrapped up in my heated blanket!!

What kind of coils are they wrapping? For what device? I have not been able to get a cotton wick to work on t3, or evod styles. It always floods and gurggles. I do however use a cotton flavor wick on the top. A nice big hunk of cotton and remove the rubber cover. Makes for a nice , tasty vape with no dry hits.

Just in case, For my evod/t3/PT style wicks, I wrap 5 wraps of 30guage kanthal around a 2mm silica wick using a sewing needle to space and sturdy the build. (then remove it of course XD) That with a cotton flavor wick works wonders even on low voltage devices like egos.

Holy cow, leave the thread to package some juice up for a friend (no one on this thread - yet!) and it explodes again.

I remember you saying that you have used the Pyrex Aros...do they work on the MVP 2? I know some of my T3's are hard to get it to fire.

On the whole, yes, they work very, very well... they're my favorite tank on the MVP2 so far. Tank manufacture being what it is, though (read - inconsistent and in China), one of my ARO tanks has a pin that's about a micrometer too short to make the connection to the native MVP threads. Rather than waste time messing around with the problem tank, I got a 510 to Ego adapter, on which all of them fire just fine. Oddly enough, the iclear 30 that came with the MVP2 doesn't quite connect to the native threading either, works fine with the adapter. I prefer having an adapter on it anyway, just because it saves wear and tear on the native threads from all my tank switching, and with an adapter on, I don't have to remove the beauty ring every time I want to use something Ego threaded.

Very, very old news... but as usual, can't tell that by the panic in the media. :)

Visionx, no worries, it happens to all of us. Hope your day gets better from here.

Thanks :) I am currently vaping on my Igo-L with 3.5mm silica folded once and a 4/5 28g wrap coming out to 0.7Ω. It is amazingly good!

For my rda coils I use 30 kanthal around a syringe tip (the fill kind from mrvape) Then take a nice piece of cotton and push it into the coil just until it gets tight. Then I fluff out the cotton tail and wrap it around the posts or wherever I feel it needs to cover.

Well thank you, I appreciate the sentiment. But again, there are many that I admire for what they have had to deal with, my sister is one, Sean is another and many, many others that handle their issues each and every day of their lives. Take's special people like them that have the intestinal fortitude to keep on truckin', whoa, can't believe I just used that word, I haven't seen or heard that since like the late 70's .... :p

Dont know if u got an answer yet, I'm still a few pgs. back...I keep DAP in a plastic cartomizer w/no ill effects.:)

Thanks :)

I like Evods better than Protanks.
I've been replacing the protank posts with my evod posts I have saved from dead heads.
I saved Deadheads yuk yuk.

I thought for sure Kanger was dumping the PT head stock when they announced they were going to only offer one type.
I thought they'd dump the garden hose posted coils and a few months later say they changed their mind again and return to the better, smaller posted heads.
The smaller ones work perfectly in Evods and we were using them to fix the AIRY protanks.
They fixed the protank base in the PT2 and the GH sized posts work ok in them but they're way too airy in evods.
I'm down to 20 new and 5 used actual evod coils but the posts will live forever.

I read somewhere that green apple flavor is a plastic killer.
I've been vaping Caramel Apple in evods but haven't chanced one with Double Apple.
Is Double Apple safe in Evods? (ducks flamethrower) ;)

I was on the Club DSM New England Forum back when I raced my Eagle Talon. That crowd would come to your house with torches and pitchforks if you asked without searching so I got used to wearing an asbestos suit on forums.

I use 2mm. 3.5 seems pretty hefty, what gauge kanthal are you using?
