with those flavors, you might want to try them right out of the mail.

Right out of the mail????? RIGHT OUT OF THE MAIL?????? What are we some kind of animals??????? That would be e-juice anarchy .... we can't just start slinging our juice around higgley piggley as soon as the mailman comes. We have to perform the steepage ritual, uncovering and covering, heating and cooling, shaking and cradling for weeks on end until the taste reaches perfection. There is no such thing as bad juice .... just juice that has been improperly steeped .......... lol out loud.

Very general rule of thumb..........the darker the juice, the more steeping..........the clearer the juice the less steeping.......not hard & fast just general.

Greetings & Salutations all you Bakerites. Welcome aboard to all the " newbies". *ducks*

Just getting over a cold, so I'm vaping mostly "minty" stuff today. Candy Cane, my girl scout minty thingy, rainbow sherbet.
Had about 9" of that durn white stuff come down last nite, followed by some rain, which made the snow weigh about 2.5 tons per shovel.:(

Got my vape mail as expected on Friday, no interest till yesterday. Just threw the pkgs on my desk and went back to the couch and the warm blanky.:)

Thought I would share a pick of what happens to Cola in a brand new T3. No glass tanks, my bad I think.

Tank Cola.jpg that was after about 30 minutes in the tank, so I'm not sure if it was a defective T3
or the Cola reacting......such a noob .....noob.jpg

On the brighter side , the Johnny Chimpo is great outta da mail. Most of all the others need time.

Hope ya all are havin a better day then I am atm. At least I have the Patriots/Miami game to look forward to.

Loaded up 1 tank Rainbow and 1 tank Cinn Roll. In case my taste returns :)

A place some call paradise
Good morning all. Little update from the great Schofield barracks battle of 2013, getting the wife off analogs.

Yesterday morning both sides came out swinging. One side demanding another by 1100 and the other side throwing out how upsetting it was to hear it. This tactic was received horribly by the other side but seemed to be effective. This lasted for another 5 hrs before the quitting side was hit hard by the cravings. My resolve was weak because we had been on the field of battle since 1000 that morning, but I pulled a lie out of my pocket. You see I had lost the nightly cigarette and would need to go to the store to get it. This tactic bought my side 3 extra hours.

Now we both committed a major tactical failure by moving our field of battle to a location that was unfriendly to the quitting side. We began drinking at 2000 and after an evening of intoxication the body count lies at 4 total. Two over my goal of 2. I am pleased with the report and willing to accept the two additional casualties based upon the alcohol consumption and will praise the opposing side as it is a massive victory that we are both still alive. I am currently hungover and fearful of approaching the battlefield today. All in all both sides fought a good fight.
I myself managed to avoid the stinkies.

i know that what i am about to say would be met with much derision and scoffing from the fans of "designer" or "boutique" juices.

i have read many reviews and slavish screeds devoted to those ridiculously priced juices. they use such phrases as "professionally and painstakingly developed", and "meticulously crafted". i say that the high priced juices are merely made months ahead of time, allowed to steep before they are sold and shipped.....therefore they of course taste better than MBV right out of the box. i have tried many of those highly praised juices, and they are no better to me than MBV juices are after they have steeped for a few weeks or months. and i know....i don't have the sophisticated palate that some of those people possess. so i could be wrong. but to me, i am right. and that is all that counts to me.

i maintain that most people who diss MBV juices totally ignore the instructions to steep it. or it could be something as simple as snob appeal.....if it doesn't cost a lot, it can't be any good. again, i could be wrong. i am vapid after all.

Kelli, I haven't been doing this nearly as long as you have, nor tried as many vendors as most people on ECF. But in the short time I've been doing this, I've discovered a few things...

First favorite flavor - Belgian Cocoa from Halo.
Price per ml: 0.67
Replaced by: "Caramel Brownie" from a company with MBV-like prices.
Resemblance to original flavor: It's a dead ringer, with a better aftertaste and vapor smell.
Price per ml of replacement: 0.26
Time to locate replacement: 2 months, 6 tries.
Number of "almost but not quite" flavors that would also be perfectly acceptable substitutes: 5.
Avg price of "almost but not quite" flavors per ml: 0.20

Second favorite flavor: several different "mochas" from various vendors.
Avg price per ml: 0.67-0.83
Replaced by: a few different mixes using MBV juices and juices from an MBV-like priced vendor.
Resemblance to original flavors: Virtually indistinguishable.
Avg price per ml of replacements: 0.20-0.26
Time to locate replacement: 2 months, 8 different juices.
Number of "almost but not quite" flavors that would also be perfectly acceptable substitutes: 6.
Avg price of "almost but not quite" flavors per ml: 0.20-0.27

I could go on for every possible flavor in my flavor profile, but the bottom line is this - I have not yet found anything at a pricey vendor that does not have at least a *close* equivalent at either MBV or *one* other MBV-like vendor. I haven't even tried any other vendors in the "budget" price bracket, because I haven't had to - between those two, I've *found* everything I was hunting! I'm sure there are a few juices out there that are totally unique/unreplicable. I'm also relatively sure that *most* so-called unreplicable flavors can actually be achieved by mixing the right "budget" juices together. Again, the "budget" versions may not be exact, but I refuse to believe there are more than a handful of juices out there wherein you can't at least get in the ballpark.

Maybe one day I'll find an absolutely amazing juice that is so unique and difficult to approximate with well steeped budget juices that I can justify paying *three times as much* per ml for it... it could happen. I'm not ruling it out. But with that kind of price differential, a) it would have to be *very* special juice, and b) I'd be so paranoid about spilling/wasting it that I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I'd prefer to. I wouldn't actually be able to *relax* and vape the stuff!

How are the tobacco flavors here?

I'm a fan of MBV's 555. It's a caramely, nutty tobacco. Haven't tried any of the others yet, so I'll let people who are bigger tobacco vapers than me weigh in on those. Almost all tobaccos need a good long steep though... 4-6 weeks, on average.

Wow, talk about an all time low, it never ceases to amaze me at the length that some people will go to in order to try to make themselves out to be better then someone else or to try to avert attention from themselves for being wrong and clueless. Sending a PM regarding my personal situation as a way to try and gain an upper hand on a losing premise. It reminds me of what used to take place in Junior High. So this individual trolls sections dealing with steeping, and also this section as well and continues to perpetuate incorrect information to put MBV in a bad light and then wonders why I have to rebut this erroneous information. But to use my personal situation to try and make yourself out to be better is just pathetic and frankly very childish. Telling this individual to stop PM'ing does no good. There are just some individuals that should not be allowed to have access to a computer!

Welcome, poetic_injustices! Take it from someone else who's broke, that deal on MVP 2.0 is an *excellent* investment. Do pick one up as soon as you can swing the $43 (total with shipping from 101vape).

I literally haven't *touched* any other gear since... still have some mostly-dead 808s and one Ego for emergencies, and I'm keeping them around just in case, but that's all they're for - in case of catastrophe. I'm planning on picking up another MVP in a month or two so that my backup is just as good as my main gear... it's that reliable.

Only two real quibbles with it - it is heavy, and the button takes a little time to soften up. But if you can deal with those things, you get a day and a half to two days of battery life, you can use it while it's charging (aka "passthrough" function), you can charge your phone off of it (or almost anything else short of a laptop), and you have variable voltage, variable wattage, and an ohm checker. (Plus the usual safety stuff - overcharge protection, short protection, etc.) The battery isn't user replaceable, which may be a minus for some people - for me, it was a plus, cause I don't like messing with naked lithium ion batteries.

MBV has a good price on them too - not quite as low as 101vape, but you get a free bottle of juice plus a free sample bottle, so it comes down to whether you'd like/can afford your MVP with juice or without.

You answered all my questions just as they started popping up. My boyfriend has (or will soon have...it's on the slowboat from China, the tradeoff being he paid like $20 for it) the vamo 5. The MVP seems to offer a lot of the same features, maybe even more, than that Vamo setup except that the batteries are not user replaceable.

In looking at it, I felt a little weird about the box thing but several times now I've gone to your link and each time I like it a bit more. I'm still learning the vape jargon and tech jargon as well but that "high compatibility 510 connector" means you can stick just about anything on there that's 510 threaded, yeah?

I also like the fact that it's 2600 mAh cause, at that price, I can probably only get one at a time so I would need it to last long enough through the day that I can charge overnight. Of course my 900mAh twist hasn't required charging yet and it's been over 24 hours but it's good to know it's there.

Yeah, so, it's growing on me. Thanks for that, Sean, last night I only had eyes for my little beginner's eGo twist/PTII Mini setup and, today, I'm struggling with a cheating heart :)

Well, crap, his another darn MBV juice I need to add to my always want to have list, I saw everyone talking about the Rainbow Sherbet and figured when I was able to get my flavorings that I would ask for a sample of this one, BIG MISTAKE, damn, it's addictive! I've already gone through 1/2 the bottle. :vapor:

I'm thinking I should stay away from this thread. Now I want to try it.
