 You funny!

Hey guys guess what I just discovered???????????????

...Okay I'll tell you. It's gonna shock and amaze you all, I swear.

It's a LOT easier to catch up on a thread if you subscribe to it!!!!! In case you haven't noticed, I'm not only new to vaping but also forum chatting.

Hey does MVB have a straight mint juice? I couldn't find one and I really wanted it for one of the DIY combos I picked. I settled for menthol because I figured that the other flavors were mild and just a touch of menthol would give it a kick but I would've been really grateful for a mint. I *attempted* to model it after Trident Zen chewing gum which is green tea/mint/vanilla (I used madagascar vanilla on MBV) and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE flavor ever but I'm a little concerned about the menthol the more I think about it. I just couldn't find a regular mint flavor that didn't have something else mixed in. Maybe creme de menthe would've worked. Next time.

I was hoping that the fates would make my order come today but looks like I'm on the longer end of 2-3 day shipping so...boo.

Oh one more thing, it's not MBV-related but I like ya'll so I'm going to ask here. Experiencing reaaally dry throat with vaping. Like I need to have water on hand after every rip. Erm...normal? I drink tons of water anyway so no big but still. I currently have a pineapple peach flavor for myvaporstore that I got just to have one on hand and it has what I think you would call a serious throat hit, almost the feeling of a sore throat but in a good way with each inhale. I'm wondering if that's what's causing it and if this is a common experience for you vaping vets?

I would have gone with the Candy Cane, more mint then menthol........and mity tasty by itself on xmas morn with coffee :)

as for the other matter, could be the citric acid in the Pineapple, could be VG, could be PG could be Nic lvl........
to many variables to pinpoint cause, but I would venture to say.... if it started with the Pineapple mix, that's the culprit.

I'm pages behind so sorry if this has already been suggested, but I think you can block him in your settings.

While that would be an option, the fact remains that I should not have to block anyone, this is the type of individual that should not be on a board much less online, in addition I have saved this individuals rants and actual threat about posting nasty things about MBV, this is clear violation of the rules. I ran a board for 10 + years and this type of individual is one that is always going to take this type of childish behavior to another.

I saw the mention of candy cane on here and I thought to myself, "darn, why didn't I try that?". Well, you live and learn, I'll see how this goes and adjust from there. Probably toss in the candy cane next time. Or, if it's seasonal and might go away, use it as an excuse to order it now :)

I've never had this experience with the dry throat before but I'm literally days in with the real PV having used the cigalikes before so pineapple peach is my very first run with real juice and I have no comparison. Though you might be right in that it could be nicotine lvl plus sudden increase in vaping as I've pretty much been making myself nauseous with it haha. I already ordered lower nicotine content on this MBV order. I guess I won't really know till I try more flavors and blends. I just wondered if vaping was generally drying. I'm guessing the fact that I knew nothing about steeping/letting it breathe so there was probably some alcohol in there which will surely dry out a gal's throat.

Hi all!

My power chair chose today to die, so my day has been filled with the pedestrian work of inching through red tape. I've gotten two years out of this chair so I can't complain (that's a long time to have *no* problems with a power chair), and I'm pretty sure it's just a short... which I *could* fix, but that would void the warranty on the chair as a whole, which would be bad when/if the entire motor were to die on me sometime down the road. Anyway, it died here at home so there was a minimum of drama with regard to parking it out of the way, and the official chair repair guy will be coming out sometime this week. In the meantime, it's the manual chair for me... I don't mind, but my shredded rotator cuff does. I foresee quite a lot of staying in one place for the next few days. :)

any and all remaining eggnog must be immediately sent to Seanchai!

j/k

but Seanchai wouldn't really mind! :p

I'd share with all interested parties. :D

thanks guys....I really enjoy doing it....like I said it's the best part of my Christmas.

that is fantastic !!!!!!!!
I found that every city has a relief office and they have very good info on families needs. I always make sure their are little kids! cuz that's what it's all about? I would like for every child to have at least something from Santa! but there is only so much I can do. I raised almost $400 this year, so the kids will have a nice one for sure.... GOD forbid I ever win the lottery! what a shopping spree that would be !!!!

Bless you for it, Joie. I've lived it from both sides... from the time I was old enough to understand Christmas, we always "adopted" a family to shop for, and many years, we also got gifts to distribute at the local women's shelters. I'll never forget handing a little six or seven year old at the shelter one of the gifts and watching him turn to his mom and say, "See, Mom, there *is* a Santa, he just had to have helpers to find our address!" Then he unwrapped the gift and discovered it was a remote control car (with four sets of batteries)... I thought he was going to burst with joy. His mother later explained to us that she'd never been able to get him a Christmas gift before. I was seven or eight myself at the time, and to me, that moment will always be the *real* meaning of Christmas... the look on that boy's face when he realized that he'd been *included*.

From that point on, as long as it was "allowed," we also tried to give the mothers some gift cards - one "practical" (for gas or groceries) and one "fun" (Toys'r'us etc), so that they could shop for their kids themselves a little bit. That's the best part of Christmas for grownups, after all... picking out that thing you know your kid really wants.

Then we hit our own financial troubles and had several christmases where a few bags of donated groceries *was* Christmas (and I'm not being sarcastic - we were *so* grateful that we could at least have a nice celebratory dinner and enjoy each other's company.) We're not financially recovered enough to give back as much as we used to, but there's a kid at our church whose family is struggling this year. His younger siblings' christmas is being taken care of by the parish, but he's 17 so everyone has assumed he's "too old" for Christmas. What a lot of those parish members don't know - but I do - is that he can't work due to some significant health issues, so he also can't help his mom with expenses or buy his own token gifts for his siblings... which are the kinds of things that would have made *my* Christmas when I was that age and we were too broke to "do" Christmas.

So I had a quiet word with some friends, and we got together and got him a gas card, a grocery card, and an Amazon gift card to defray expenses/ shop for mom and the kids - he has those in hand already. What he doesn't know yet is he's got his own Amazon card tucked into the gifts for his siblings from the parish that will be arriving next weekend.

The local church St. Vincent de Paul committee was surprised/thrown by all of this, because none of us involved in this operation are terribly religious nor regular attendees of Mass. What they *also* don't know is in order to get enough money together, I contacted my favorite priest in the whole world - a Polish refugee who oversaw my conversion and confirmation, who drives a bright yellow ancient Porche and is a huge U2 and Beatles fan, and is also probably the most humble and religious man I know - and he put his entire church youth group behind the effort, and - as I knew he would - sought out whether there were any other kids from about 16-21 who could use a hand giving their families a nice Christmas. *His* church will never overlook that age group again, I'm certain... mine will probably need a little reminder for a few more years.

no heat in my house this morning. furnace took a big dump. guy is sposed to be calling before he comes to fix it. i have a window between 10 am and 3 pm. ffs. so i went to work and will have to run home when he calls. i HATE when things don't work!!! View attachment 284161

Ugh, what a time of year for the furnace to go. Sorry about that, kelli! Hope repairs are speedy and cheap. Stay warm in the meantime.

I have a bottle. Want it? :)

The "toasted" flavoring and I haven't seemed to get along very well.

I'll dig around later and check the born on date, but it's at least a couple of months old. YMMV.

...intercepts eggnog being sent to Seanchai...

I'll trade you some Eggnog and some Pumpkin Spice for it, if you like. Just shoot me a PM. :)

Hi friends! I need to go back and catch up but thought I would first say.....EIGHT MONTHS SMOKE FREE today for me!!!! Special thanks to everyone here for helping get me through those times when I wanted a cig....and for all the thread *love* we have here!! <3

Congrats, roonies!

It depends. Some liquids are pretty dry or leave me with a dry (cotton, lol) mouth. Some don't. But yeah, you'll definitely want to increase your intake of fluids. I think Kelli said that she vaped herself into dry/itchy skin. :O So it can definitely cause some dehydration issues.

Seanchai .... thanks for the info. Yeah when I look back I remember some really terrible christmas mornings! but I think it has made me a much better person. I always wondered about people who did crimes and stuff and then blamed it on the fact that they grew up poor and underprivileged .... life is what you make it. I grew into an adult with the idea that if I could change the world I would.....well after finding out that was an impossible dream.....I settled on making as many people happy as I could.....cuz that's what makes me happy. My kids and grandkids are great kids and have been blessed by not feeling selfish and I thank god for that. But I have for the past 18 yrs made it my crusade to find a family with little kids ( thru the local relief office ) and make sure they have Santa arrive for them. this makes MY holidays great for me....and I believe for them too. A lot of people at work have donated thru the years to help with all of this.....and hopefully we can continue every year for as long as I am able. Just wished that there were more to give.....like I said if I ever get that damn lottery check WHaaaHooooo.
