No, but it is a good idea to run a torch over it (or dry burn it) to get rid of any funk that might be on the silica...

Another Warning.... for those that got gift cards for Christmas. Seems some people took pictures of the cards while they were still in the racks in the stores.
That way they got the numbers. Then they wait for the card to be activated, and they scoop em up.

yep....my credit union called me last week to tell me they were canceling one of my cards cuz I was part of that Target mess. Had only shopped there once in like 4 months.
Some silicas do taste funky, and it doesn't go away...sometimes a burn does the trick.To Late.........and they do taste funky grrrr

Wow I couldn't be happier right now, the supplier that o ordered my kanthal wire from already shipped and it's in Washington right now. So from Fremont CA to the origin sort facility all since the 24th. You know I honestly don't give Usps enough credit also, for the 6 or 7 packages that I have ordered with vape mail all but one came in really fast. The one that I did have issues with was just a little slow and after I called in Usps apologized and found that the package had sat in a storage facility when it wasn't supposed to so they basically overnight shipped it from another state which I didn't expect

Yup....your rite again, just burned one, and it still taste "off" I think I will stik with my boiled Peaches & Cream. It has worked well, but I heard Silica was betterer and HAD to try it. Oh well.....only $1.50 at MBV so not gonna go bankrupt.

And I'm having issues with the coils. Idk what it is but the one that came installed and two out of the 10 replacement coils that I have tried all ended up making the juice taste pretty bad. I use a vamo 5 and they were all 1.8ohm heads so I tried 3-3.8 volts and tried everything up to 8 watts but it was all just turning out really bad tasting. For example a vanilla mint was turning out to taste like a minty burnt log and things that tasted non burnt were highly muted flavor. Any help here would be great

Honestly I think I might have an issue with silica wicking because all the flavors that I have tried to date have all never been amazing except for a couple. The rest have been dull or burnt tasting or almost no flavor at all. And I have protank 1s and 2s and these aspires now
i have 9 of these. they all work well, 3 or 4 drops into each coil to prime it. i vape between 8.5 and 9.5 watts, if i use voltage, i go 4.5 to 4.8. i think the ohm rating is misleading, you have to heat 2 coils, not just one. if you set them too low, the flavor will be muted. ymmv
I have heard that there are some serious inconsistency issues with regard to the manufacture of the Aspire coils; can't speak to it myself as that's the main reason I've been holding off on getting any. I've seen several reviews that mention how great they are when they work, but that only two or three out of every five *do* work. I hope they get it sorted out soon, cause I'd really like to try them out, but I can't afford to take a gamble like that.

Because she can tell time. She meows us awake on time on weekdays and gets highly put out if we don't sleep in on the weekends, meows when it's time for mom to be home and literally rounds us up and herds us to bed when she thinks it's time for bed... since Monday is the first workday of the week, that's one she never gets confused by. She will *tolerate* us skipping the usual Monday early-evening marathons of old Top Gears (only just - she does know they're on and will pout about it if we don't partake), but come nine o'clock, there will be yowling and claws unsheathed if the channel does not get changed. I know it sounds bizarre... it's even more bizarre to experience!
