Ok my friends, need some more advice :)
I rearranged my budget a little bit and have some extra funds to buy a new mod. Looking for VV/VW (one or the other, r both) as I have mechanical covered already. batteries/charger not needed, so not a factor in price. Was thinking about the VTR, looks pretty tough, able to take some abuse. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have been debating between an MVP and a VTR. I'm leaning towards the MVP. The VTR seems like it might be a bit too big and heavy. If you get one let me know what you think of it.

Wow, you lot are a busy bunch. :)

I use sterile rolled cotton from CVS. It is cheap, I do not boil it but probably should. I could actually pick a life times supply right down the road and sterilize it myself if I was that concerned. Any crops grown where I live have to be grown using "organic pesticides" so they all qualify for the organic label. Ground water preservation and all....
If it is white it is bleached using one method or another. Cotton is not bright white naturally. Boiling in distilled water and rinsing in distilled water will get rid of most of the residue of this. If you are boiling in tap water... My thoughts are you should just use it out of the bag.
I also find wick preference to be heavily reliant on the end user. I have a small army of IGO-W4 drippers, all coiled basically the same except for the one with mesh, all with various wick materials. I find I like cotton best, second is Silica, to me silica and ekowool are the same. The exception here are a few juices that I really like on stainless wick. My son prefers silica over cotton and hates stainless anything.

TLDR: use the cotton you are comfortable with, if you are going to spend time boiling it use distilled water, or at least RO water from a maintained RO system.

Edit: Come to think of it I am going to go pick some tomorrow, I will report back any differences. This is the perfect time for it, they are harvesting this week.

Innokin VTR - 101 Vape

I'm pretty happy with my Vamo and my SVD.

I'm watching a pbusardo on the SVD now :) I do dig the Vamo, but a little too rattlesnake for me I think.

I have an MVP V1 now, love it, but I broke the button. I taped it up and it still works, but the VTR is really catching my eye lately.

One of my mods is the MVP 2 and I really like it (others are spinners and Zmax's) Spinners go to work with me, MVP 2 goes just about anyplace else. If MVP 2 and VTR are constructed the same, you should like it. MVP 2 is constructed pretty well but kind of bulky for my pocket unless I'm wearing cargo pants. Battery lasts me the better part of a couple of days with moderate vaping; looks like the VTR has a bigger button which might make it easier to operate. It has a different feel than the spinners and Zmax's but feels comfortable in a different way. I like the "recessed" clearomizer ... seems to be more protected; don't know how much of a hassle it would be to change if you alternate juices. Not sure though whether that makes the VTR worth the extra money though. Just my thoughts.

SVD, VTR, MVP 2, one of these. :D someone was just saying they dropped their VTR on the cement and had no issues with it. Downside is it is pretty heavy.

IIRC the SVD is also a rattle snake.

That's exactly where I was shopping :) MVP V2 was a consideration also at just $40, but out of stock now. No interrst in a ProVari lol :) I think it's the one button menu system, and the fact that it fires the device to check Ω's that turns me off.

Just my luck, I finally decided to order an MVP and went to 101Vapes and they were out of stock. If the Provari ever comes with variable wattage I will probably buy one.

That pretty much rules that one out for sure then, as I was already leaning towards box style a little bit anyway.

So just go Innokin then? :) I agree though, they do make nice devices.

Have an MVP now and really like it, it's just a little too beat up, was thinking the VTR may fair better. The recess looked great to me too, would hold my carto tank (19mm) quite nicely I am guessing. And I can use the extension for any larger devices too. I really think I'm sold on teh VTR at this point.

MBV has them, if you order on new years with the 14% code, it should be $51.59 which would allow free shipping, plus it comes with a bottle of juice and you would also qualify for the freebie. Not too bad.

For me it is either Innokin, Provari, or if it was regulated, the Maraxus (wish it was regulated with a screen)

I like the VTR, a friend has one and we swapped my MVP2 for his VTR for a day. He bought an MVP2 later, I did not buy a VTR. It is a nice device, it is heavy, it drags my shirt pocket down at work and annoys me. My MVP2 does not do that. I might buy a VTR at a later date but I really really like the grenade look of the Cool Fire 2.

It's just this obsession with mechanical clones lately, it is eating all my monies.
