Hey Molly! They say 12+ for us, is it summer yet?!?!?!? My daughter had ACT today at school, and the teachers there told them they might not make it back to school until Thursday if we get what they are calling for, yikes!

Yep, will be lucky if mine goes back this next week at all. He's
gone 7 days since the first of December. Hasn't gone a full
week since November. Geesh.

What's happening peeps? I tried to keep up on the pages.
vape mail day for me. All arrived except MBV. I only order
from places that have excellent customer service and shipping.
MBV I'm sure will arrive Monday.
All orders were placed Dec. 31 or Jan. 1st.
A couple of new batts, just egos which I love for traveling
and stuff. Also some clearos and tanks, and then also
disposables for those times when you might run out of
juice or all your batts and chargers die at the same time...you know.

6-9 inches of white stuff predicted for us starting tonite then
the temps plunging down down down. Probably safe to say
kiddo won't be going back to school on Monday.

While we are not expecting any snow, we are however getting some colder weather here in Florida, this was an advisory that we got this morning. I know it's nothing compared to the rest of you all, but, this is also pretty darn cold.

Arctic cold to impact the region Monday into the middle of next week.

A strong cold front will cross the area late Sunday and Sunday night. In the wake of the front, the coldest air in the last several years will plunge across Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. A hard freeze will occur over inland locations Monday night and Tuesday night, with lows in the teens to lower 20s likely. Even the normally warmer coastal locations will not be spared from this Arctic intrusion, with a freeze expected Monday night and possibly again Tuesday night. Low temperatures along the beaches Monday night could fall into the mid 20s, producing hard freeze conditions. With brisk North winds, wind chill readings between 5 and 15 degrees will be possible Monday night, with only slightly higher values Tuesday night. High temperatures on Tuesday will only reach the upper 30s to lower 40s for most areas.

Residents of Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida should monitor the latest forecasts, watches, advisories and warnings concerning this upcoming period of extremely cold weather. In addition, this is good time to review action for protecting temperature sensitive vegetation and protect exposed pipes from freezing temperatures.

I was thinking more "WTH this isnt the Arctic Circle!!"

Yes it's such a big system impacting the majority of the country.
While you aren't in the same league with plunging temps and snow,
your area is also not prepared for those types of temps you will be getting.
We were used to blizzard conditions in the mountains of New Mexico,
but we just don't get nasty weather often here. No one really is
ready - houses aren't built for these types of temps, water lines freeze
and burst, our county doesn't own a snow plow thereby they close the schools,
snow refreezes and turns to ice, it's just nasty stuff.

Again, as I stated it's not like some of you are getting however, again this is Florida and for the Beach areas to get a Hard Freeze is highly unusual! Got it made, while I don't have much of an issue with it, it will impact a number or areas especially those that deal with Orange Crops, so tell them that they have it made.

Me either - for a bunch of long stories ;D This is me trying to start again. One of the reasons was a broken finger that didn't heal quite right...I can't make a fist, so can't dance the fret board quite how I used to (very frustrating, since I was an acoustic singer/songwriter and can't really play acoustic anymore :I). I picked an SG specifically because its wide neck would mean I didn't have to bend my fingers as much.

TMI - I must be drinking - or something.

I switched from guitar to bass in 1992. I got part of my right hand broken in an accident, by the time the two weeks in ICU was over for the other injuries the knuckle on my left ring finger had fused from being shattered. I looked at the estimated $17,000 then to fix it and decided I could play bass. They did reset another bone in my hand but the knuckle would have been "reconstructive" that is another term for "expensive". I have not played an entire song in years, just noodle around here and there.

Well, that does sound unpleasant for Florida! So i guess we need to head farther south?

Oh my goodness. It was a joke. I'm sure it is a shock to have such cold weather in Florida.
