Trying some faux hawk sauce, delicious! Pretty good straight outta the mail.

Just got my mail today from mtbaker. All of these are 50/50 mix except for the menthe, that's an 80/20. I got my other half the 30ml of candy cane...her favorite juice so far is Kringles Curse from Halo....I hope the candy cane comes close...I can't really smell it when I open the cap like I can Kringles Curse.

Candy cane 30ml 18mg
Faux hawk sauce 15ml 12mg
Utterly Nuts 15ml 12mg
Butter Pecan 15 ml 18mg
Winter green 15ml 18mg
Creme de menthe (free sample)

A place some call paradise
Got vape mail in today. Berry creamy, French vanilla and cinnamon roll are amongst the flavors that I've never tried before. Their in the sink right now but not going to get the usual 4 hours. Either way the goal is to not touch for at least 30 days. Pretty sure that's not going happen but I'm still going to try.

That's weird, MBV is usually pretty aromatic from the "getgo" ... may need to steep for taste, but usually smells really REALLY good.

Now I'm thinking that maybe I should have gotten the candy cane with 2 flavor shots since it's a 30ml? Ahhh well,I'll find out tonight.

I've never steeped juice before...I can never really grasp the idea that it would make juice taste that much better.

I'm not real fond of the term steeping, however the fact is that there are juices that do require an aging time to bring them to their fullest potential, the easiest analogy would be the same principle as making a pasta based sauce from scratch, you have all those components that go into it however without the simmer process you will not get the same flavor out of it just using it directly and as most people know that pasta sauce is much better the days after the initial simmering process with note it gets much better after these processes. Same with the juices, some more then others especially more complex juices, tobaccos and coffee flavors. MBV itself recommends letting them age, shaking etc.

It was a new concept to me as well but, if you've ever made homemade chili or spaghetti sauce and found that it tastes better or has more flavor the next day or so, it's kind of the same principle. The ingredients just have time to really blend. Usually it's worth the waiting time ... if you can do it. :) When you buy pre-mixed stuff, it goes through the same process only on warehouse shelves and in transit.

Up until I started buying from companies that mixed "micro" batches to order, I had always thought that steeping was an urban myth, kinda like moth man and big foot, some of the first "custom" juice shipments, I got were unvapeable out of the mailbox, but I never did any steeping until the posters here convinced me to ... I don't know why it works, but it does.

My 30ml of 18mg candy cane came with 1 flavor shot, and that was fine with just 1.
It's pretty good stuff!

IMHO Keeping in mind that until recently, I thought steeping was an urban myth.

I think the most important part of the steeping process, which makes the most dramatic difference, is "airing out" the juice with the cap and nipple removed for 24-48 hours. This allows any alcohol to evaporate and allows the juice to "out gas" a bit.

Aging is a much better term. "Homebrew" is another one that irritates me. Radio & electronics enthusiasts don't 'brew' anything. I haven't heard it in DIY juice before, but I wouldn't doubt someone's saying it. Aging (or cellaring, derived from the temperature, not the place) is used frequently in the beer world & is nearly identical to what you do with juices - only there's yeast and/or bacteria involved.

Agreed, I also do not care for the terms, E-cigarette or analog! But these terms are so ingrained it's not going to change.

Ever make home made chili? It's always better after several hours of slow cooking and a day or two in the fridge.

Yup. I'm right there with you. Let's start the revolution!! We can start by chastising anyone in this thread who uses them mercilessly... or changes their quoted posts... not that anyone here would ever do that :glare: :D

If the chastising doesn't work, I suggest we *gasp* bring out.. the comfy chair! [sinister music] Yes! The... comfy... chair.

:lol::lol::lol::party: Actually that just made me cringe a little bit, just had a scene from a movie that was called "The Serpent and the Rainbow" pop into my head about the chair!
