I have always teased my husband for saving all his paycheck stubs....well Sat I get a letter from the Unemployment Office saying I needed to send proof of income any time after 12/23.12. The place I worked shut down down in May and I haven't worked since. One of the options is a copy of last paycheck stub. When I told my husband this he just grinned at me and I told him to shut up! LOL

So today I get to spend all day trying to call the Unemployment office. What I hate is a lot of times you get through push all the buttons just to hear a recording that they are receiving a large volume of calls and try again later! And then when you do get through you are on hold for an hour. UGH! I haven't got a check in 2 weeks and I need to make sure everything is set up for when I start school next week.

even husbands can be right, once in a great while! you should have let him enjoy the moment! they can be so few.

i spent hours on the phone last week. i'm glad my portable phones have speakers (and it really helped when i figured out how to lower the volume).

i had to apply for medicaid. they get so busy, like the DSHS line, that they just hang up on you! i lucked into an angel last week when i was trying to get some idea of where my charity app was with Franciscan Medical Group. i keep a clip board with every phone call i've made since i was unemployed in 2012. after calling numerous other numbers, Lisa took charge of getting all my info through and got my permission to have an appt before the app was approved. it caused a lot of confusion at the dov's office. i heard on of the secretaries saying that she herself was on hold with the billing office for over 4 hours. she gave up and sent an email. i think it was a miracle that i not only found a number that someone answered, but they even went above and beyond!

Need a menthol or 2 in the mix. Extreme Ice and Thug Juice. Great for throat hit and combating vaper's tongue.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk

brethren speaks the truth :) Extreme Ice is my favorite juice period, the one I cannot go without.

I'm very partial to Extreme Ice too, but it's not for everyone :) Extreme Ice beats White Out in my rotation now...
I am waiting on my extreme ice to get here. I can't wait to find out if I love it or hate it lol.

Just a bit of advice ... DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE! I think they're in cahoots with MBV. I started out about a month ago with a few bottles on my first order ... just to sample. I've now got close to 40 bottles either ready, steeping, or in transit. They keep saying how good this is or that is and I've got to try them out. Just when I think I've got it covered, they start talking about something else. The problem is that they're seldom wrong ... except for menthol ... ptuuii :p Can't do menthol ... but I can do Hawks Sauce.

Good Night Evil MBV People ...
I've got about the same number of bottles here or on the way. It is insidious the way this thread keeps making me buy more and more juices.:glare:

I have seen this pain chart before and it totally cracks me up, not that I think pain is funny....just the illustrations and descriptions! I agree with the pain=cranky theory....at least for me. In any case, I, too, hope that Oz will come back because he adds a lot and is a seriously funny guy too. As for my absence, I've been on #6 on the pain scale for the better part of a month now, particularly the last few days, which is exactly why I haven't been around here. Go figure, 8 months after the shoulder replacement I get released from PT, other than at home, and released also from pain meds, and my OTHER shoulder blows out! So I go back to my surgeon and he says, yep, looks like a torn rotator cuff. Well, that was surgery number 2 (rotator cuff repair) on the other shoulder, the replacement was the 4th, and this feels a lot like the other one felt when it was bone on bone and there was nothing left but replacement to fix it.....I know....boring....blah blah blah.....getting older and getting osteoarthritis sucks and tomorrow I get to go out into the god forsaken cold to get an MRI on the left shoulder. Most likely looking at surgery on this shoulder now. That would be 5 shoulder surgeries in as many years. I shouldn't complain, because so many have it worse than me, but pain is relative, just like everything else, and this is *my* pain and it's tick'n me up. So think a good thought for me tomorrow...or I should say today, because it's going on 4am, making it 'today', and I should have been asleep 4 hrs. ago....but I can't sleep!!
ETA: I just saw that you're back Oz....yippee!!!! welcome back!
I hope everything works out for you. Pain is no fun to live with.

Same goes for Sean and Sam. I hope that all goes well.

Just did my first recoil with cotton. Not sure what I think just yet. It's different... whether it's better, I haven't decided. Going to vape this all day and see if I change my mind as it breaks in.

Sam... whaddya know, I happen to have Root Beer sitting here and a tank of vanilla butternut to top up....

...yep, it's root beer float. Awesome.

That kind of miracle is exactly what you need to actually get things moving... I hear a lot of people say "get a lawyer" but the truth is that rarely does much good. Persistence and luck is what it takes. Glad things worked out for you, fingers crossed that the next step goes as well.

We husbands do get it right occasionally.

I hate making phone calls, I'm glad you found someone who actually wants to be helpful. So many of them just want to get you off the phone.

cotton takes time to figure just how little cotton you need. it expands so much. i gave up on it, but i've been watching some vids. i may try it again.

the ratio James said is 4 root beer to 2 vanilla butternut (or ice cream. but i've never heard folks rave about that one).

i see miracles everywhere. i was told i'm disabled on the day i got my last unemployment deposit! i also found a wonderful friend who helped keep me sane these last few months. i'm going to call my doctor's assistant today. i'll tell her about my interview on Friday and i'm going to ask her to provide me with all the info that they would send once SSA asks for it. i like to be prepared. i also want to learn the process so that maybe i can help others.

Thank you khala! :)

Being new, not sure how to interpret the post above mine???

Post translation:

"We're a warm, welcoming group of people who like to talk about our favorite MBV juices, along with everything else that happens to catch our fancy. However, as a result, many people try juices they wouldn't have thought about, and end up ordering more juice than they originally planned. Hang out here, and you will run into recommendations that you'll probably decide you simply have to try. This can lead to extremely tasty vapes, along with buying lots of juice." :)

Welcome to the hotel california - the thread you'll never leave. :)

I use a cotton in wick in my phoenix RDA and it works great. Doesn't need a break in period. I use it for testing juices to see if they are ready yet. It takes a little experimenting to get the amount of cotton just right but when you do it's a wonderful vape.

Oddly, I seem to have gotten the right amount of cotton on the first try (with thanks to about 5 different people's tutorials, which I picked the best bits out of to find something that worked for me). I'm just not sure if I *like* it yet. It definitely delivers more flavor, that's for sure.

Four to two is about what ended up in my tank (maybe a smidge closer to 50/50). It's good stuff.

I need to brush up on the initial process myself; the nitty gritty has changed since I did it, though the overall process is the same. *Reviews* I know quite a lot about, but then, that's because no one will ever let me forget those.

After like 10 minutes, I don't think my cotton "breaks in" anymore. I had traded some juice for protank coils a bit back that were rewicked with cotton. there was SO Much. I of course burnt it out right away. lol. now in my rba i use a super thin amount. I think by using an extremely little amount, and using the CVS rolled cotton, i've almost eliminated any weird taste from the cotton. Keep at it young padawan :) hehe

and morning everyone! I've been off work for liek 5 days now, so been all over the place. Thank you for the bumps on my juice!! Most of it sold, but still have a little more hopefully someone will snag. It's for my woodvil fund! LOL

Unless the weather is significantly different a few miles from here, stay home. It's dangerous out there.

Mornin', MBV peeps!

Telecommuting today and trying to stay warm. Decided to shift my work schedule a bit, too, and start later than usual! Luxury!

Haven't gotten to the vaping part of the morning yet - I'll load something up once I move up to my office and fire up the work computer.

Morning, khala! Good luck on the trying to stay warm front.

Thanks for the input, Amiaji. I've got a phoenix around here somewhere but it doesn't play well with my MVP and for some reason I don't like the deck... not sure what I don't like about it exactly, but between that and the sheer amount of fiddling it takes for me to get it to connect, it's just sitting in a box atm. I'm looking at picking up a clone RBA at some point so I can test out a few different options without breaking the bank, and then I'll save up for the real deal from there.
