Wow fast shipping! Thanks mt baker people! Now to figure out how to mix and use all these flavorings.

Realized when i got my order my calculations for cutting the 36mg base was off and needed to order 4 more no nic vg...

If you need VG, you might want to call around your town. I get VG from a cake and candy supply store here in town. It's around $7 for 8oz., food grade, works great. Just a heads up.

That's the '91%' part. It's a KFL clone, not just the regular kayfun. The air adjustment is different & the cap is different where you insert the mouthpiece. Otherwise it's pretty much a KFL+ (which is what I'm using).

When you rewick them, most people use way too much cotton. I heard about that & skimped big time, but after a few builds I found it was still too much. I'll take some pics the next time I rebuild one & make a blog post about it. One of the tricks I learned was after you know how much you're supposed to use, pull off just a tiny bit extra. For a good wick in those you don't want the cotton compressed any more than it has to be. So when you pull off that extra you can really compress it down to get it through the coil & tear it off when the wick's in place. Fluff up the ends of the wick before you put on the cylinder part of the chimney. Before you put on the tapered part, you can tuck the fluffed up ends down onto the deck (this is where the amount of cotton you used is critical), I just use the drill bit that I coiled on to tuck them down. Prime the wick well, install the taper, check for the top o-ring, install the tank & fill. The rest is magic.

:) I definitely need to rewick after this tank, so I'll get some pics & it'll make a whole lot more sense.

Thanks :toast:

Thanks guys. Nothing special. I was going to dovetail it all or maybe do some G&G box joints on it, but after 5 minutes down there I knew I wasn't going to be able to spend too much time before the pain got to me so I did the most basic traditional joinery I could. I'm a little embarrassed, I only sanded to 120 when for customers I go at least to 600, usually 1200 & I didn't even put pore filler on it. It's definitely not something I would allow out of the shop for a customer, but it did scratch that itch. I made it 3 whole days without making some sawdust. New record. I hope I never have to do that again.

You do beautiful work. I wouldn't have a clue where to start making something like that, and I come from a line of cabinetmakers. Never learned their craft.

So please let us compliment your talent and skill, even if the work you showed off wasn't what *you* consider your best. We enjoy it, and you deserve it.
