The only issue with this is that THE MVP 2's wattage setting is about .5 watts higher than what is displayed. So if they set it at 6 watts, it's actually pushing 6.5 watts.

If the problem is that his liquid is being burned, he may have to use volts until he can get ahold of some coils with a higher resistance.

forget all the numbers, wattages, amps, power coils etc etc etc...

as has been stated before.......load tank or carto, whatever your choice of topper is......
start low on either voltage or wattage.... slowly bring it up trying it out at each lvl.
When you get to the right spot for that juice... the burnt taste only comes when the setting gets to high
if you get that burnt taste, back off your setting one lvl at a time till its gone.
The only other time you would get that burnt taste, is if the tank/carto, runs out of juice

ahhhhhhhhhh... can't keep up with this thread!

ok.. anyone using the iclear 16's? on dark juices like cafe coffee? are these things washable (dry burnable)? I have had a few soaking and well.. my dark juices just don't seem to wash/soak out of the wicks.. going through coils with my dark juices almost as fast as wool socks here.

I read somewhere on this thread, soak your heads, wicks, coils in denture cleaner, like Polident. Not having done it myself, I cannot state that it actually works. But, seems logical, as long as you rinse all out real well. Then dry em.

I doubt that it is his MVP, but start low with the voltage and have him work his way up. Sounds more like a topper or liquid-age issue to me. One thing he may notice is that some of those non-regulated devices are only putting out 2.9v - 3.0v under load even if their specs state 3.7v, the MVP goes down to 3.3v so have him start there.

He's using a protank 2. I am uneducated on them.

morning Roonies! i spent part of yesterday watching you slog your way through all the posts trying to catch up, you get the OCD trophy for yesterday! :D

Morning Ralph, IMRs, and did i see a post by Seanchai, or was i hallucinating?

seeing as NO ONE took a peak at this yet, i reckon i'll keep posting it:

I watched it Sam, brings to mind the book....Lord of the Flys. I clicked on the John Taylor gato link that showed up after.
I agree with a lot of what he says, having lived thru some of it firsthand

How long have you had them now ?

I have had them for 30-60 days, perhaps a bit less. The ones I'm using (and have been using all along) are (all) Mt Baker Spearmint, Honey, and Maple. They taste good now I was just wondering if the time to improve has passed ?

Nothing worse then priming a carto....filling your tank and then finding out its a bad one with a burning taste! I know it wasn't me cause I did another cart the exact same way with no problem.

is it a variable voltage?? if so, lower it all the way and work your way up to the good spot. Maybe the voltage is to high ??? :2c:

Good morning and welcome to the thread.

All steeping really is is aging them. 30 days is usually good enough for most of the flavors. They say some of the tobacco flavors need longer but I haven't tried any of them.

I hear all sorts of comments on the "longevity" of juices. Being a noob myself (5 months) I don't have any that are "to old"
Juice that I bought in August taste just fine.

Edit......after more deep thought :)

I think what your asking is, Is there a point where the juice stops improving???

I would think, yes....once it reaches its peak....it stays as is.
A 1999 wine would taste the same in 2009 as it did in 2005.
Hope I didn't confoose ya further

Ok thanks .. I just didn't know if it would do any good at all at this point. But I am more than satisfied with how they have tasted.
