How much liquid does everybody have in inventory right now? I am curious as to how much everyone keeps on hand as I am trying to decide how much is enough. :p

This is a fun game. I just took another rough guesstimate on my over 50 flavors.

D'OH! I thought I was down to under 600ml. nope. still over a liter of 18mg

3 months worth should be sensible. a liter will be over 6 months worth for me.

I bought a 1 liter bottle of 100mg nic juice just for that reason. I haven't yet tried to make my own but I can if I have to. Even at 50 mil a week that would make enough to last 2 years.

I don't have as much, but I've got about 600mls of various strength nic base that I haven't even opened. Its there if I need it. I just suck at diy and really am enjoying a lot of my bought juices lately.

KmL??? Is that the same as 1L??

Kilomilliliters....

Sorry, but that's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

Sorry, didn't feel like taking the time to put in all the 0s...

I figured peeps wouldn't have a hard time figuring out, as an example, 7Kml meant 7000ml ;)

Or I guess in hind site I could have used liters, just not use to thinkin' in that amount

I'm not sure I agree...it seems that some of the drafts of the deeming regulations concern all of the "ingredients" in products. Even though many of these flavorings are used for other products, it doesn't necessarily mean that the FDA will accept them as we use them. If the FDA wants to make it difficult for us to get juice, I'm confident that they will try. It is possible that we will be buying nic separately from flavorings in the future. We've already seen the FDA get rid of flavored cigarettes (like clove cigarettes) in the past.

Don't remind me, that's how I went from an occasional smoker of bidis to a hardcore Marlboro smoker in the first place.

Seriously though, you may be right, and the thought has crossed my mind, but I truly think there'd be far too much impact on other industries to *ban* flavorings the way flavored cigs/bidis were banned. The much greater possibility, and I agree it's one we should be aware of, is that legislation mandates *who* can buy flavorings online (e.g. only wholesalers, only businesses dealing in food goods or perfumery, etc). I still *doubt* this will happen, but it's a possibility. If it does, though, I'm not terribly worried about it - all that will do is make flavorings more of a PITA to get and force us to buy them locally at megamarts and the like.

Part of the reason they got away with banning cloves and bidis is because the cloves manufacturers knew their smokers would just switch to menthols or regulars (which the vast majority of those companies also made), and bidis are all made in India... in both cases, banning them had a negligible impact on the US economy or on US companies. Not the case with flavorings... if they do try to do that, the baked goods and aromatherapy industries would be joining us in having their heads.

The other reason I'm not terribly worried about flavorings is because if the US takes its cue from Canada (and as someone who's worked on the periphery of govt off and on for quite some time, I know they'll at least be looking for existing "examples" of who's done this before), then 0nic juice will be plentiful, it'll be the nic and the nic containing juice that requires hoop jumping, clandestine connections, and concern about customs vis-a-vis mail order.

Some of the "must have" for mixers

Yellow Cake............Peanut Butter..........Grape...............White Chocolate
Whipped Cream.......Candy Cane.............Strawberry.......Rainbow Sherbet
Sweet Cream...........Graham Cracker.......Raspberry........Stick Bun
Bavarian Cream........Cinnamon Roll.........Sugar cookie.....Madagascar Vanilla

I'm sure others will have other flavors to add to this list.
Most of the above can be added to each other to make an interesting combo. such as Peanut Butter/White Chocolate
You are pretty much only limited by your imagination as to the combos you can come up with

Hope someone finds this helpful:)

Guesstimate without actually counting containers/bottles...

PG between 7Kml and 8Kml
VG between 6Kml and 7Kml
Nic 100mg/ml 500ml
Nic 60mg/ml 650ml to 700ml

We're not bringin' up flavorings I hope

Probably have in the neighborhood of 1000ml premixed between MBV and DIY ;)

Nah, no flavorings. I don't feel bad anymore, not at all. :) Thanks Uno! :toast:

Not enough... about a dozen 30ml bottles that are either full or mostly full, plus some bits & pieces. Unlike many of you, I can order more without guilt, but I am hesitant because it takes so long to find out if I like them or not - I just don't know what to order.

What do you like to eat? What sounds appealing? Do you like sweets? rolls? cake? Fruity type desserts?

I understand your point, really I do...but I just think it is possible that once a vendor adds flavoring to nic it becomes much easier for the FDA to add an infinite series of hoops the vendor will need to jump through. I honestly hope that will not be the case, but I am prepared for it nonetheless. :)

It's just funny. Or proof that Americans & the metric system aren't compatible. I wouldn't have put the 0's either, since anything over 999mL is just measured in L anyhow. But the double prefix, Kilo & milli... that's just priceless.

So anyways, I just ordered a .03KmL bottle of...

:D :D :D

If they try to regulate flavors or pg/vg, they will be up against an impossible-to-win fight because at that point they will have the might of several combined industries breathing down their necks. In the end it will come down to nicotine, and regulating vendors. There may come a time when DIY is the cheaper and easier way to go.

And as it is, results from more and more studies are showing it is not harmful. If they haven't got something in place by the end of the year, they will be hard pressed to enact much of anything that will impact the consumer. Vendor regulation will be another story. Vendors will be regulated at some point and there is no getting around that. Listing exact ingredients and warning labels will just be the start for vendors. Banning online sales is a possibility, but my bet is that the FDA is going to focus on taxation now as opposed to huge sweeping bans. Big Tobacco companies are already making moves to enter the market, which only leaves Pharma to figure out how they will make a buck off it.

Just my 10 cents. :)

Just got off the phone with my 79 year old mom. I was about to hang
up when she mentioned they were at the heart doctor's the other day
and some lady was 'smoking' an electronic cigarette in the waiting room.
So that prompted a bunch of questions from her. She saw me last summer
when I was there and using disposables (Flings) so she knew I had switched.
She also heard yesterday (she lives in northern Indiana) about Chicago
putting them in the same group as cigarettes. And last summer she 'thought'
she saw the neighbor lady in her garage 'smoking' one.
By the time we were done she wanted to know if they make cigar ones.
I'm not sure who she was thinking of but my 84 year old dad used to
enjoy a good cigar. I tried explaining the batteries but just sorta ended
the explaining with 'yes, yes they make cigar sized ones'.
Will be going out this summer with my batts, juices, toppers.....I'm
sure that will prompt more questions, LOL. She asked me if I tried
cutting back and getting off the e-cigs to which I replied I cut back
to no nicotine at night but I enjoy vaping the ecigs.
