Alrighty, Imma drop some MBV impressions in here. There will be an actual review in the actual review forum at some point if I can get my ish together.
Everything I ordered was 12 mg nic 70% VG 30% distilled water with no extra flavor shots. I wanted to see what everything was like au naturale as it were.
My picks:
- Tidal Wave
- Root Beer
- Butterscotch
- SmokTech bridgeless 2.0 ohm drip atty
I ordered Sunday afternoon, received a tracking number Sunday night, and got my cross country package Wednesday. I tore into the box to pull my goodies out and could IMMEDIATELY smell the root beer
juice. Everything was well packed, there were no leaks, everything was perfect inside but yes, I could smell the root beer
through the bottle and inside the bubble wrap! Don't know about you, but in my world this is a good sign. The sample I received was Get Razzled at 12mg in the 80/20 PG/VG blend. From what I can tell the viscosity of the 70/30 VG water blend is almost exactly the same as the 80/20 PG/VG blend so I don't anticipate any issues using the VG juices in my lone clearo.
First thing I did was prep and prime my new drip atty and let me just say this thing is a champ. It's my third in 2 weeks and is the first one to not dribble if I give it more than 2 drops. The flavor and vapor it gives is fantastic and it does't get as hot on my 1000mAh pass through. My current number 1 drip atty just lost its spot (which is fine, it's due for a cleaning anyways!).
Alrighty, on to the joose... I am impatient and don't always follow directions, so steeping didn't actually happen. Ooops...
First up was Tidal Wave. I've been going through some vapor's tongue the past few days and I picked Tidal Wave first because it's such a unique blend. My instinct was right and it completely broke through to my taste duds!

Like I said, this blend is unique and I can easily see people not liking it. Pre-steep, it's reminiscent of a honey-lemon mentholated cough drop. I actually really like that kind of flavor so this didn't freak me out whatsoever. I get something like bubblegum on the exhale; I know it sounds weird but it's not offputting at all and it does work with the juice. I see this being a great palate cleanser, a nice wind-down night time pick, and definitely a go-to to vape to sooth a cough or sore throat. I could also see mixing it in with some of the popular tea flavors for something really special...
Next was root beer. I don't remember who recommended I get root beer, but THANK YOU. ERMAHGERD this stuff is tasty! No steep and no extra flavor shots and it's still fantastic! I don't know how folks make soda juice feel bubbly but they do. Even at low nic, high VG, on a cool drip atty this stuff gives respectable throat hit thanks to that bubbly feeling. Not in that "oh dear heaven I'm breathing fire" kind of way, but a nice enjoyable level. It's not creamy, and I'm cool with that. Less A&W root beer, more Barq's (if you remember the commercial, recall that "Barq's has bite!") You know how good root beer makes your tongue just a little tingly or even the slightest bit numb? It has that. I'm not a fan of anise/licorice flavor and though I know that profile is in this juice it doesn't overpower/standout at all for me. Final thoughts: I cleaned out my clearo last night for this juice
After the first two flavors the butterscotch and Get Razzled didn't have a chance of tasting clear (note, this didn't stop me from dripping 'em anyways), so I retasted them this morning.
Butterscotch I think this one will need the steep time. It's good as it is, but not great. Sweet but definitely not overpoweringly so, with just a hint of that rich butter-scotchy-ness. I'm excited to see what this one is like in a week.
Get Razzled sample Definitely a creamy berry, and now that I check the flavor description I see I got it right. Compared to Tidal Wave and root beer the flavor here was definitely soft (not exactly muted, but just way less punchy), which is surprising given the high PG in this sample. I didn't get in your face "raspberry" from it, but definitely berry in front of the cream. Sweet berry, not tart from what I taste. There's something about the cream flavor that I'm not 100% sure I like, but that may very well be because the juice is immature. This one will also get a week steep to see what how it grows.
And there you have it. My overly wordy and opinionated thoughts on MBV. Thanks guys for doing some great work!!!
