steep steep steep....at least a week unless you can speed steep them. Lots of info out there on how to do that.

I feel like I've been scolded lol. Yes I know but I must try things, I'm bad. I try then but them aside. Some I know right off the bat aren't worth it, like the cream vanilla types.

I got in about ten juices today. Non seem to be very good out of the bottle. I guess its steeping time for all of these selections.
I had never had to steep juices from the vender I used in the past, but they were twice as much money. Im not sure its worth the time/wait to steep. Oh well... Just my thoughts.

Blue Moo was the first I loaded up. I'm underwhelmed. I'm sure it'll improve though. Trying S'mores now. It's perfumey right now. Chocolate and perfume.

both blue moo and smores are juices that need to step a lot, both have there perfume to them, blue moo improved a lot, but my wife finds she gets headaches from it, strange. The smores got better after about 3 weeks, but still wasn't for us and we PIFed it.

Much of their juices seem to be "perfumish". What exactly is making that poor perfumy chemical taste ?

The flavorings might have alcohol in them, and the juices need to oxidize. Steeping helps all of the flavors blend and develop. It's a bit like making spaghetti sauce....if you throw everything in the pot and taste it right away, it's not very good. Let it cook for an hour, and it's magic :)

Were they pre-steeped or freshly made? Almost all fresh made juices are going to require some steep time.

I heard Billbeckusa in a post at some point state that he pours his juice in a beaker due to the larger area that spreads the juice out and he lets "whatever" evaporate out of the juice, then he puts back in the bottle and lets it steep until done .... ?

Sounde like good advice, but left me wondering....why is there alchohol or anything else for that matter in a juice that has a bad taste ?
Im trying to learn so excuse some of my thoughts if they sound silly or strange to you.

Moo juice is the only one of them I've had, but will find leave the tops off for 24 hours will help with the perfume, some juices can be good straight out of the mail, some can take weeks. I try all my new juices, as I don't like waiting either, but if bad then I put them away and try them weekly, after week 4, I give up on them and PIF them.

Oh, I'm sorry.....didn't want to come across like I was scolding. I guess I just am used to steeping everything for a week before trying after buying from MBV for the last few months. My bad!! :(

I am now guessing they have certain flavors and just pre make them which would allow for steeping time. I would also guess that MT baker does so much buisness that they are made everyday then shipped out

Alcohol is a flavor carrier...it is one of the reasons why it is used in cooking. Oils carry certain flavors, water carries others, and alcohol yet others.
