Be aware, for those who it matters to - Extreme Ice also contains wintergreen.

I cannot eat or vape anything with wintergreen. It reminds me of muscle rub.

Never tasted wintergreen in it...may be. I get a very light spearmint with the ice cold menthol. In fact...I can't really taste the mint much at all...just cold...

so who wants my 25' kanthal wire and 10' silica.... >< i'm convinced no matter how much help i get, and how much i keep trying, i am just not a good recoiler..
they all come out to between 1.9 and 2.2 ohms, which i thought was good, but then they all taste like... fiber-y. it isn't a burnt taste, or a metallic taste, it's just an off taste, like metamucil. (i don't really have any idea what metamucil tastes like for that fact lol) i just can't figure out whats wrong.. maybe its the silica.

I've been pretty lucky with the first few coils I had tried and they work fine, but I only got a 3' of silica, I wanted to try dripping as well and had 2 RBA's sitting around doing nothing, 1st coil came out at 2.8 ohms, 2nd @ 2.2 and one I made for the Evod came out at 2.4 ohms, those are the only 3 I have built so far, I need to get one of those big magnifying glasses! :glare:

Now now... Don't give up yet. It could be your silica. Then again...did you anneal your wire and/or torch your silica before wrapping the coil? Do you know someone close that might be able to look at your heads to critique them?

ok.....how many people here have an expensive MOD like the Provari or Vamo and will it make a huge difference in my vaping experience to buy one. I have been using an EGO-twist forever.....have 3 and keep wanting to jump in and buy a nice one but afraid I won't notice any difference.....I suppose I should just go for it but I don't understand all the settings....

Annealing and torching...showing your heads to close strangers....this is bordering on self abuse :D

Well I only had standard eGo batteries, but I just got a Buzz Pro and I have noticed a huge difference. I've been vaping mostly just under 4.5v (2.4ohm stock coil in a Smok Tech ARO) and I love it. The vapor is just a little warmer, and the taste really comes alive. Right now I am vaping Tobacco Smooth (DIY I think) with a little MBV Hazelnut mixed in it and it is wonderful.

Personally, yes and no. I started with eGo Twists, got a Vamo, broke it, got another Vamo, which is getting finicky, so I went back to my Twists and got a few Spinners. Have an MVP on the way too. I'll give the mod thing another go, but I'm undecided on what.

I get burnt flavor with anything much higher 3....?

3W or 3V? Sounds like you might be still in the NO1 mode instead of the NO2. Basically that tells the vamo how to measure the output power. Although its more complicated than that since this output power is still on the card and not exactly output, but there is a direct correlation. If you are running in NO1 mode then yes, you are the only person using it in default mode;)

To switch to NO2 mode you would press one of the little buttons for like 10 seconds until it says NO2 on the screen. If it says NO1 then you were already in NO2 and would need to do it again.
