Ok guys, I figured I would come back with an update. As always I will give you an honest opinion regardless of me liking this vendor.
I ordered 9 flavors in a 24mg and the controversial 50/50 mix. I grabbed some de-bridged 3.0ohm attys and a VV and tried them all the first day( I will be doing the same with each flavor as I write its commentary). Also I have/will be vaping these at the standard 3.7v (under load), if I notice something awesome at a higher voltage I will note that. Some tasted good some you could tell really needed to steep. A lot of people may not know that the higher the VG% the longer it takes for the flavors to equally mix with each other and the base.
I received all of this juice on the 16th, I aerated a few like the 555, Gingerbread, and Irish Cream with the cap and dripper off for 24hours (shook 2-3 times), then re-capped. All have been steeping for around 14 days, maybe 15, maybe 16, I don't know the exact date of their creation.
Lets get the honest, the ugly, and the meh out of the way.
The
555, I just don't know what I can say about this juice, I put thought into trying to word this nicely but the only thing that comes to mind is smoking moldy leather. It is just so far off from any 555 I have ever had or what a 555 should be. I won't be ordering this again, I may PIF it or just give it as an additional option in a PIF giveaway or I may just dump it for the bottle. I will let it sit for another 15 days or so before I decide.
The
Gingerbread.. I ordered this because of another "Gingerbread Man" I tried, this isn't so much a strike against "MTVB Gingerbread" as it is just not what I was looking for. I guess you would call the previous one I tried an "atomic" gingerbread, meaning it would be like comparing a piece of Big Red gum ("atomic") to a cinnamon latte. Its a good gingerbread, its a little light on flavor. I do not notice a huge difference in taste from day 1.
The good and the great:
Extreme Ice: I really like this flavor and it is the only "cool" flavor in my lineup. In fact I also sometimes mix this in 5ml bottles with other flavors like orange or a Mahalo Mama I have or even toss 1 drop onto whatever I have in my drip atty if I feel like it. I have this is a 50/50 and a 80/20 PG/VG mix and there is no noticeable difference in flavor. This juice was great from the start and continues to be so.
RY4: I love this flavor from MTVB, I have another thread with a review on it so I wont spend much time on it here. I found this flavor tasted good in a 50/50 on day 1 but it did settle and get better over the next week. It has the flavor and vaping experience I like, I keep it in a tank and vape it at least a few hours out of the day.
Red Bull: This takes up the other 1/3 of my vaping time. I am a huge fan of this juice. I love the drink and I love this juice. I always find myself grabbing the device and tank with this juice in it. It was pretty awesome day 1 and I want to say it has gotten better since but I can't say for sure. I'm actually almost out of the 30ml bottle I grabbed 2 weeks ago, I guess its time for another order.. man I'm so broke, cant save a penny buying all this juice all the time!
Mt. Dew: A lot of you rave about this flavor, it's good, its just not for me. It does taste like Mt. Dew, I dunno maybe I only like drinkin it. No noticeable difference from day 1, it tasted good from the start.
Black Licorice: This is another flavor that I would hate to eat but enjoy vaping. Once as a kid I got a huge bag of only black jelly beans, per my request as an award. Killed that thing in a month, hated black licorice ever since! I'm glad I picked this one up. The taste is absolutely perfect, I can't tell you how much this tastes exactly like black licorice. It's an awesome vape and has been since day 1, if you like licorice this is one you should try out.
Vanilla Cup Cake: This one really needed to steep. When I first got it there was no flavor at all, honestly I could only taste the nic base. 15 days in and the flavor is really coming out. It is pretty much spot on with what it should taste like. I can see why a flavor this light (as it should be) would need time to "bloom". It has good throat hit as expected from a 24mg, if I order this again I think I will add a double shot of flavor, though it tastes right as is.
Irish Cream (Baileys): It's close to coffee liquor, doesn't quite do it for me though. This must be a complicated flavor that required a few flavors to make, it was a mess when I first got it, it really needed to steep. 15 days in its pretty good, I have this notion that it may still need some time. I could see myself being in the mood for this kind of flavor in the future so I will more than likely finish it off.
Again keep in mind all of these are a
24mg 50/50 PG/VG mix and the higher the VG% the longer it needs to really come out. If you are new to vaping or uncertain start out with the 80/20 PG/VG "House Blend"
Also to those of you who notice I don't say much about vapor/throat hit in my reviews, I expect my juice/device combo to produce very good vapor, I will only mention vapor if it is phenomenal or sub-par. The same with throat hit, this comes from the nicotine so the higher your mg/ml the more you will feel.
I will be posting this review as its own thread shortly for search-ability since it is a rather lengthy/in-depth review but I wanted to fill you guys who are following this thread in.
