cocoon of lunacy
Has anyone here had issues with lung irritation when vaping MBV liquids right out of the mail? I've used their liquids before without issues, but this batch came in today and was mixed on 9/25 and is giving me some issues with coughing/chest tightness. I assume there could be some alcohol or something from the flavorings still since it is so fresh, so I'm letting them open-steep. I just wanted to see if this is only me. One of the liquids is 80/20 pg/vg and the others are 50/50. I've never experienced PG related problems before, so I tend to think it is not that.

I still love MBV and I am not trying to scare anyone, I'm just curious. I also asked them via their contact page, but I thought I might get answers sooner here.

never had such issues personally, but a lot of people have probs with PG. maybe try some highest possible VG and see if that helps?

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I have lost my place . . . I can't keep up with this thread this week!

Went to the Sept. Vapemeet of Tucson vapers - lots of MBV swag given away (t-shirts, hats, beer cozies, lanyards, etc.) It was nice to see MBV represent.

One thing I want to rant about (ok, here it comes) is the premier edition of VPR magazine (obtained at the above meet). I had high hopes for this after the mention on the VapeGoddess FB page. This rag is full of typos and worse - cheesy pinups complete with bios ala Playboy (from Peaches' bio, "Favorite Read: Don't like to read but I should"). I was really hoping for a well-written magazine for real-life vapers. Unfortunately, this thing only appeals to readers of Lowrider magazine. The reviews were shoddy and piecemeal. The "how to's" had bad pictures and were difficult to follow. Somebody from ECF could do much better. Stepping off the soapbox now . . .

Now, off to ponder whether or not to get an MVP 2 from MBV - aside from co-ops, they have the best price so far . . .

Oh and one more thing - my Pooh went into the PIF box last night. There's nothing like getting a shout across the room, "hey Kathie, what's in Pooh?!" Somebody took it though, lol.

I have never had any issues with any of the juices bothering me regardless of the PG/VG ratio or extra shot content, there have been a few juices that were just a bit too harsh in the beginning so I let them steep and that mellows them out.

This is what I was hoping to hear. I will give them a few days of open-steeping and report back. Like I said in my first post though, I've never had PG issues before, so I find it hard to believe that MBVs PG is any different. Lol. I suppose I could also be coming down with a cold or something and that could be part of the problem.

EDIT: It seems only two of the flavors I got are giving me this issue (caramel apple, 0mg, 2 shots, 80/20; and freckled lemonade, 6mg, 2 shots, 50/50), so I can only assume it is indeed flavoring related and needs some more steeping. Thanks for the responses!

My :2c: might be a little late, but here goes.... I initially had coughing fits when I first started vaping. I had to get used to the difference in "viscosity" (not the right word, but I don't know a better one :)) between vapor and smoke, and I would cough no matter the vendor of the juice. I did also have some coughing fits with MBV juices specifically, but only with citrus juices straight from the mailbox. I honestly don't know what changed for me, but it doesn't happen anymore. I can vape Solar Flare straight from the mailbox, and I usually have to when I've run out of it because I procrastinated my reorder. I'm thinking somehow my body has adjusted and "knows what's coming," if that makes any sense at all. YMMV

For anyone that likes the bakery cinnamon, Dutch Apple Pie is right up your alley. I like this a lot more than cinnamon roll, apple pie on the inhale and a light cinnamon on the exhale. The best part is the lingering apple taste in my mouth, definitely getting a bigger bottle next time.

I second this!

I was just telling Stoneface about how good that Apple Pie is, that and the Caramel Cinn Roll from FW (James, can't believe you guys don't offer this too!? hint hint)

Good to know. I just got this as my last freebie.
It's been caps off for 2 days and it's been jiggling for hours :)

but if one really likes cinnamon roll, would having both be redundant?

though, i imagine it would be simpler to sweeten up dutch apple than to try to find "icing" for cinnamon rolls.

They're both great in their own right, so I'd say no it wouldn't be redundant and I think everyone would enjoy both (Or all three if you DIY get the caramel one too)

If anyone needs icing for cinnamon rolls, or anything else, I'd highly suggest Lorann's Cream Cheese Icing, it's great at 1-3% :thumb:
