Just a quick shout out to Mowgli (and everyone else too) for the DIY advice given in this thread. That batch of MBV Vanilla Ice Cream I made at 20% was definitely way over flavored. Diluted it with PG down to about 12.5% flavoring (I think... backwards mixing math is hard, y'all) and ultrasonic'd the heck out of it over the last week, and now it's tasting pretty nice.
I also noticed some people talking about vanillas a bit back and so I thought I'd give a quick description of this one's flavor. It's a very sharp vanilla bean flavor with a hint of cream. It would probably benefit from a few drops of sweetener, since it's a bit sharp for something being described as "ice cream" but if you like Bryer's Vanilla Ice Cream, it has a very similar flavor profile (though not as sweet). I'm liking it! Maybe a bit bitter for some people's tastes, but a couple drops of sweetener might sort that.
The only other vanilla flavor I've tried from MBV is some French Vanilla (dated 5/14/13) I swapped out of the PIF box at a local meet, and for some reason I think it tastes more like coffee than vanilla. As always YMMV.
