I'm not familiar with a CE 4, but on my protanks and evods I was getting burnt tasting hits until I removed one of the 2 flavor wicks.

One of the reasons I gave up on clearos, they just don't work as well as I'd like. You probably need to do some modifications, hope that thread helps or gets you on your way. Good luck, man, nothing more frustrating than gear that should work and simply does not. Also, China.

What device are you using? Do you know if it is set to Volts or Wattage, I hate to assume anything however you post seems to indicate your not sure of what settings you have set. What is the Ohm rating of the atty you have on the device? If you are going over the recommended settings for the atty's ohms you would most likely be burning your wick and juice, thus the burnt taste and typically if the wick is burnt it will need to be changed out as I have never been able to get rid of a burnt wick taste without rewicking the atty.

It's a brand new ego c twist with a ce4 clearomizer. I think the atty is 2.5ohm. The battery is the adjustable volts (3.2~4.8) & I tried turning it up, down, & all in the middle. I can't get it to taste right. I doesn't always taste burnt, only when the volts are higher than 4.0. Even when its low, its got a wierd taste, nothing like what I know cinnamon roll tastes like.

I would try 3.5v - 3.8 and do the tilt and twirl between every drag to help it wick.

i use a c twist quite often as well, and gave up on ce4's a bit back. the flavor was never really good, could never get the flavor out for another, and they did taste burnt often. i invested in some evods and protank minis. i love the mini's by far more than anything else. expect i burn through coils like no tomorrow. probably not much help, but yeah...

Definitely check the silicon 'sleeve' that sits at the top, near the mouthpiece, inside the clearo. If it's putting any kind of pressure - ie squeezing - the wick, you will want to cut a bit of it off so it's not. And again, clearos mute a lot of flavors, and some of that 'weird taste' is most likely just 'new silica flavor'. I'm not a fan of that, either, but it goes away soon enough.

I went through 2 CE4s and 2 CE5s in my first week and half vaping. I would never ever use one again. Bottom coils and Pyrex for me all the way. My AROs seem to be doing really well atm haven't changed a head in 4-5 days and all 5 are performing great. I really expected to kill one or 2 with lightspeed and some real dark juices I used in the past few days too.

Clearos seriously mute flavors for me. If you are getting a burning taste, you are cranking it too high. What did you vape your Cinnamon Roll out of before the CE4?

I have a Tornado Tank from totally wicked, (an ego t believe) with a cartridge.. & I tried Google ;-)

I've been vaping on an Aspire BDC for about a week now. Great taste and vapor. Vaping at 7 - 8 watts on a Vamo V3 and haven't had to do anything more than refill.

Never had that funky taste with cartridges so maybe it is the silica wick. I'm going to keep playing around with the volts, & I'll keep it low so I don't burn it. This is the best group of people. Checked with post office this afternoon after the mail delivery. They say...."your pkg left Washington this morning". MVB says it left Saturday 7:59pm
Do I need to go to the store and get some ciggys ????

Well now that my IGO-L is pretty much dry after washing earlier after my taste testing I popped the top off and made sure the air hole was lined up real good with the coil and made sure the wicks were flat on the bottom and it's working much better now. I think I may have had a wick blocking the air hole earlier. I think I won't be drilling it after all. My butterscotch seems to finally be ready to vape now too. I'm going to try DDL again after Butterscotch.

In other news, I setup my first microcoil on an IGO-L. Used 30g kanthal, about 8/9 wraps around a 1/16" bit, completely surrounded by cotton except for one end of the coil (the 'dragon coil' some of you may have read about here) peeking out. Soaked it in some Thug Juice and let it saturate fully. Coil came out to 1.7, so definitely could tweak that a bit for use on a mech, but as it stands, HOLY CRAP.

Seriously, cannot believe the clouds (I'm not a chaser, mind you, just a tinkerer) and the taste is phenomenal. Was planning to rock it on my K-100 if I could get it working, but think I'll leave it on the SVD for now. Mmmmm, the flavor is kind of intense. I am gonna put together another tonight on my IGO-W, probably single coil first and see if I can't get closer to the 1 ohm mark. I have some 28g kanthal, probably use that.

Anyway, you guys are all so nice. I have posted in this thread here and there over time, but kinda just started posting all the time because you seem like a good bunch. I will make a proper introduction at some point, I'm sure, for now ... I'm kinda scared to hit this thing. It's a beast.

Never wait until you're that low on juice to order....they had a big sale and may have been swamped. Besides, with MBV you need to order in advance knowing you need time for steeping. Unfortunately you learned a valuable lesson. Having said all of that, don't buy cigs....worse comes to worse buy a Blu or another gas station ecig to get you through.

NO "ciggys"! Check the website with the tracking # & it should tell you exactly where it is & when it went out. I also am waiting on two packages. Because of the holiday Monday, the USPS is overloaded. Be patient, it will come.

Are you having problems with the K100? I don't have one, but I do have other mechanicals and I use microcoils as well.
