Thank you all for the hugs, sympathies and warm wishes on my uncle. He's had Alzheimer's for the last several years and had gotten worse in the last year, so we all knew this was coming soon and were prepared. He went peacefully at home with his wife by his side. It still hurts of course, but at least he's finally free from this horrible disease! He was my Dad's only brother however and I'm really feeling for my dad right now as well due to that whole sense of mortality thing. His mother and father are both gone and now his brother too.

I just got some
Jamaican Rum in my order that arrived Monday based on a good review someone out here previously gave it. (I can't recall who, just search the thread for "jamaican rum" if you're interested and I'm sure you'll find it. It was within the last month or 2.) It's only been speed steeped in the UC for about an hour so far (equiv to about a week) but already it's pretty yummy, a fairly authentic rum taste with a coconut backnote as it stands right now. It'll get another hour in the UC tomorrow and then we'll see if it's ready to move out of the bad boy closet and into my juice chest. Besides
drinking this vaping this straight up, I'm already daydreaming about all the juices it will taste fantastic with!
For MBV juices, I think
Afternoon Delight could also possibly qualify as an alcoholic beverage and is another one I have that's currently in the same boat as the Jamaican Rum. I figured this one didn't need more than a week or two of steep time either so I drip tested it already after just the 1 hour of speed steeping and I think I'm really gonna like it much better than I did the Ocean Breeze. Right now it tastes sorta like a pina colada with banana. Yum! And I think the Jamaican Rum will be fantastic in it too!
However, my absolute favorite alcoholic beverage vape is
Ahlusion's Fijian Nights. It's a complex blend of creamy coconut, banana, pineapple, sugar cane, vanilla, and spices and is super yum! If this liquid was an alcoholic beverage, I'd surely be an alcoholic by now!
EDITED TO ADD: Someone (I think it was Unfettered) also mentioned Beer flavored. Though I'm not sure if it'd qualify, Ahlusion has a malty caramel vape called Car-Mal Mambo, described as "A very rich dark malted flavor with a caramel finish". I got a 10ml of this the other day but it's still steeping and (based on my test drip) not quite done yet.
Oh and there's another I forgot to mention that I'll have to let you know on. I've got
FanceeJuice's Cloudarita coming to me soon. They're a bit more expensive and this is my first order with them, but I couldn't resist their 35% off sale over the weekend since they've been on my want-to-try list ever since I read about how Cloudarita is the most authentic tasting margarita juice ever. (Spinfuel and several other independent reviews.)
Pear is a tricky one, I have yet to find a pear flavoring that I actually like and I have tried most of them trying to replicate HHV's cinful pear, no idea where they get their flavoring but it's incredible.
I gave up on pear
Can't say as I haven't tried it but for me I do not like fruit flavors that taste like candy or fake and every pear flavor I tried aside from cinful pear had been like that.
People like what they like though, I hear people rave about TPA's pear flavoring and it's gross to me.
I hear ya on the fake candy fruit flavors. I don't like them at all myself, and I guess that's why several (not all) of MBV's fruit flavors have been a miss for me. Have you tried Ahlusion's pear? Ahlusion has extremely authentic fruit flavors since they do most of their own extractions in-house using real fruit and other all-natural ingredients, and their
Caramel Pear Black Tea is another huge favorite of mine. No fake pear here, and the black tea is spot on as well. Highly recommended if you like a slightly sweet pear-flavored tea vape. (The caramel in it is slight and serves only to add a light sweetness to the overall flavor.) Several of their other pear flavors have really good reviews too, though I haven't tried any of the others yet.
Damn, I really hate to be talking up another companies products so much in this MBV thread, but since y'all were complaining about pear liquid, and I was just enjoying a some of this tasty liquid not more than an hour ago, I just had to let you know.
In addition to the 2 flavors previously mentioned, I also received
Johnny Chimpo, Almond Delight, and a refill of
Whipped Cream in my Monday order. I can tell by smell that JC and AD still require a bit more steeping so I haven't tried those two yet, but I'm eagerly looking forward to it. Maybe tomorrow after their 2nd hour in the UC.
And yes, I'm already sitting here talking myself out of another MBV order since
Freckled Lemonade is now back in stock and y'all have been raving wildly about it. I could use a good lemonade vape! I have
Cherry Limeade here and it's alright but just kinda meh for me. Some days I like it better than others.
Plus I had to leave several things off last week's order simply because I didn't have enough money left. Kinda blew the vaping budget ordering juice from 4 different places last week... but that's what happens when you go on vacation for 2 weeks with your sister and she vapes all your favorite juices!
(I've since ordered her some of those flavors for herself, including MBV's Cinnamon Roll and Sticky Bun.)
One thing though, I really want to try the new
Berry Treat y'all got as a sample recently. It isn't up on the site yet, but I'm thinking since
Berry Creamy is currently out of stock, Berry Treat might be too, and thus I might not get the sample I want. So that's what I'm using to talk myself out of ordering again so soon.
