so I did an EVOD image search and most have EVOD BCC printed under the clear window of it, even on the coloured ones. So which is the clone, the ones with the name, or without?

All things being equal I'd rather not have excessive branding on my products. I just don't get these guys I see driving around in cars with giant brand decals on the sides or back windshield. Just looks tacky to me. If you gotta slap your brand info on something, look at what Kanger did with the Protank. You can see it if you're looking for it, but otherwise it's almost invisible. Brilliant!

I would suggest sorting by best selling instead of highest rated or at least make sure it has been rated by 20 or more people. You may find one that is a rated a 5 but the one person who rated it thinks that liver and onions is the best damn flavor in the world.

Yes I did notice a few that were high rates but only had one or two ratings. For me it's just a starting point though. There's ones that are highly rated that I know I'm just not personally into, I still go by my tastes but use the ratings as a guide.

Also, suggestion for anyone new: READ the reviews too! Don't just go by stars. There's good info in the reviews, as far as deciding how many flavor shots to add and what sort of undertones to expect. Again it's all subjective, but reviews help me a lot.

I don't like it either. Its like the Smoktech Pyrex Tank. Looks pretty sweet except for the great big lettering of Smok on the side of it!

Multi-quoting to catch up....

I thought so, but wasn't 100% sure. The young kids these days.

There's a few of us Az-ers around here. Actually I'm surprise that I haven't seen more of us.
Another AZ'er here.

As for Root Beer, I guess it's another example of taste being subjective. To me, the smell was right on but it had a chemical aftertaste that I just couldn't get past. Out of the mailbox it was very perfumey/chemical. Let it steep for almost three weeks and tried it again - more root beer taste on the inhale, but still very chemical on the exhale/aftertaste. I poured the remainder of it down the drain, along with what was left of Prickly Pear, Ocean Breeze and Cantaloupe (none of which got any better with steeping, IMO).

I'm not getting what the hype is about sticky bun, got mine 6 days ago now, tried it when got it, very very mild butter taste, that about it, loaded it up again today, and bit more buttery taste, but still mild in flavor, most say better than cinnamon roll, hence why I ordered it, but so far, this is a long way off from taking over cinnamon roll, and had high hopes for it :( Fingers crossed more stepping makes it A LOT better.
I'm not feeling the love for Sticky Bun yet either - very mild in flavor to me, almost tasteless. I've got it deep in the steeping cupboard, hoping it'll be better in a couple more weeks. I like Cinnamon Roll far better at this point, even straight out of the mailbox.

Tell me about banana cream pie...thinking about trying it on my next order. Tried Johnny Chimpo, a bit too much maple for my taste.
IMO, Banana Cream Pie is the best MBV flavor I've tried so far. Delicious flavor right from the start, and it only got even better after a week or so. It's one of my daily vapes and I'm burning through it like crazy - going to reorder as soon as MBV gets some other flavors back in stock. Highly recommended, at least for my tastes.

My Kanger Evods (genuine ones) don't have any printing/branding whatsoever anywhere on them. I have blue, black, stainless and purple ones - none have any printing on them. All of them have three air holes around the base, and every one of them gets a bit of condensation in the bottom of the mouthpiece (which is to be expected). I haven't had issues with leaking or gurgling from any of them. I've never tried the clones, but the genuine Evods are great clearos IMO - sturdy, trouble-free and very simple.

I vaped MBV Peanut Butter for 2 days straight.
It could be the only flavor there is and I'd be alright with that.
I get lots of throat clearing with it so have to go without for a while before bed.
Anyone else get lots of throat clearing with PB?

I'm vaping Strawberry Kiwi now and it's a great flavor.
It's pretty strong at 12.5%
I'll try 12.25% next batch.
I tried Cranberry earlier and it's good but a light flavor.
I bumped 32ml of 12.5% Cran up with 10 drops.
That should make it about 13%, we'll see in a few days.

Both have been steeping a week after about 4 hours caps off in the UC.

Anyone have strong opinions on MBV Cranberry or Strawberry Kiwi?

PB mixed with BCP is awesome BTW, with Milk Chocolate, eh, not so much.

Don't waste it. Pay it forward or trade it. Anyone have the links for PIF and Trades handy?

thanks
I would have if there had been enough left to make them worthwhile. All were 10 ml bottles and only had a couple/few ml left in each - I didn't have a dripping atomizer until last week, so I'd use up a tankful every time I tried them. If I dripped no more than a few ml and had plenty left in the bottle I'd definitely PIF or trade 'em.

Love my Evods :) 3 holes and no labeling. 3 black, 2 silver, 0 problems.

Love mine too. No BCC lables on mine. While it's being discussed, i have a bottle of Hawk Sauce and Fruit Stripe that have been sitting around and i'll never use. If anyone wants to direct me to the right place i'd be more than happy to swap them out for something else to sample.

I think Kanger manufactured them with and without the printing. I think we all know that it's no secret that Kanger makes frequent changes to their products. The early ones are probably the ones with the print while the later models don't have it. Either way, I don't think the labeling or the lack of it can be used to identify the clones.

Someone posted a comment in another thread that I think answers your question very well. I don't remember where I saw that post or who wrote it but it went something like this:

Authentic Kangertech Evods have the air holes evenly spaced. Not so with the clones. Also, between the body and the drip tip there is a chrome colored ring. On the authentic Evods this ring has a bevel at the top of it that goes all the way around. The clones are cut straight and do not have this bevel.

I have not tried sticky bun as yet, but It's hard for me to imagine it being better than cinnamon roll. In the morning with coffee it's my go to vape.
Ahhh had I known this I might've thrown a few ml of that in your package too. I only ordered a 15ml bottle up front since I already have a 30ml of Cinnamon Bun, but I like to switch it up between the two (actually like the Cinnamon Bun slightly better) and have Sticky Bun on my next big bottle reorder list. Too bad it's out of stock right now. Hopefully it's back in by the time Hawk Sauce is as both are on my big bottle reorder list.

I realized today that what I really need is a good sweet grape juice to go with the Peanut Butter so I can have a PB&J vape... it's good by itself, but it should blend so well with other things.... I'll try it with chocolate, and banana and who knows what else (except mint.. I don't think P B&M would be good)
I've heard several good things about the Surprise Grape from several people out here. I think you need to try that with Peanut Butter and then report back to us. ;)

Regarding the EVODs, none of mine have branding, either genuine or clone, as noted in my longish post yesterday (actually early AM today): http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...on/285341-mtbakervapor-1013.html#post10283787

What nic and PG/VG is your bottle of Hawk Sauce? If 6mg and 35% or more on the VG, I'd love to take it off your hands for ya as I'm sure I have something here you'd love to sample. :) I'm jonezin' cuz my bottle of HS is down to only 5ml now. Lucky thing for all the new flavors I've had coming in from other vendors lately though since I've been trying several fruity ones (Betelgeuse and Zombie Blood so far... yum yum. A couple more arrived today I haven't tried yet.) so it's allowed me to give my HS a bit of a break and milk what I have left. :D

However, here are the relevant threads in the PIF subforum in case you haven't found em yet. Each is a little different (read the first post in each for the differences).

Ahhh! You know, I recall reading this before, but at the time, I didn't yet have my Fasttech clones in hand so I couldn't verify what they were talking about with regards to the ring and the bevel. But now that you reposted this (thank you!), I just pulled them out side by side and yup, I can see exactly what they're referring to now too. :) This is definitely another good way to tell them apart, though it wasn't quite as obvious to me as the 3 holes (genuine) vs 2 holes (clones) method. However, using both of these verification techniques makes for a nearly foolproof way to tell them apart. Thanks again! :thumb:
