I have a soft spot for Halo because I got off the cigs with them. Tribeca is wonderful, like an RY4, and Shamrock is like an Andes Mint. I haven't ordered from then since, but they are complex flavors, very good, and have a great reputation. I found the price worth it, but then I found MBV and love most of the flavors so haven't gone back.
I definitely like Halo's stuff - so far, they've got the best overall coffee vape and the best overall chocolate vape I've found - roonies used the perfect word, they're complex. The price definitely makes it "special occasion" juice for me, though. Since this is the MBV thread, a couple quick comparisons for the curious:
MBV's Dark Chocolate tastes like vaping Hershey's syrup to me. That's not at all a bad thing, cause I like my chocolate. Halo's Belgian Cocoa is, well, decadent cocoa. It's a smoother, less in your face flavor. I like both.
MBV's Cafe Coffee is a very robust coffee flavor. It pretty much tastes exactly like that first cup of coffee in the morning, when you're just bucketing it down to get your eyes open. Halo's Cafe Mocha is, again, more smooth and refined, with, as the name implies, a hint of chocolate. Again, I like both.
I tend to vape MBV juices all day and then Halo right before bed. It's probably completely psychosomatic, but I find Halo's juices somewhat relaxing. (Nic strength is the same, so that's not it!)
The biggest minus to Dark Chocolate and Cafe Coffee is how badly they gunk up coils... holy cow, do they. Halo's versions of coffee and chocolate are not quite as hard on your gear, but they have a *very* odd taste before steeping. Even though they come pre-steeped, they desperately need a day with the cap off and a good week to sit before they become good. It's not alcohol or floral like fresh juices tend to be, either... the best word to describe how they taste before you air them out would be "baby powder." It's very odd. They're not *unvapeable* straight out of the mail, but for me it was less than pleasant. After a week though... wow.
Worth noting that Cafe Mocha from Halo is a little temperamental...it'll give you a burnt flavor *very* quickly unless you're leaving adequate time between vapes.
I'm still searching for other good chocolate/coffee/mocha vapes, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm happy to hear them.
I've also tried Tribeca and Voodoo. Tribeca is worthy of all the praise it gets here, although I think Belgian Cocoa is my overall favorite Halo juice so far. Voodoo is absolutely not for me, but then, I didn't expect it to be (it was a surprise freebie). It's pretty much boozy fruit, and given that I don't drink and don't like the taste of alcohol in general, vaping it isn't my thing.
Couldn't possibly pick my favorite MBV juice. I've got 8 so far (with another 8-10 to be ordered next month) and they're all in heavy rotation.
I'll probably get some more Halo juice for Christmas or something - they're nice for a special treat - but MBV does the job just fine across the board.
