morning gang :)

Sean..thanks for the PT/OT differences post - I guess mine's OT - I really miss being able to handle a knife in the kitchen - baking a whole, unpeeled onion instead of sauteing chopped onions is not a good substitute. I have been able to mangle an avocado though

TWRS - happy one year also - my birthday and vapaversary are the same day - I try and combine those big days now so I forget less things

the temps outside dropped here to the high 30s last night.. house got kinda chilly and man is my juice thick this morning.

And I still occasionally have to fight with the hot top leg in my AGA.

Guessing that is the T2 and if so have you tried using a washer on the positive (center) post so that top of coil lead does not have to carry current on its' own so far? That trick and using the bottom screw next to wick for negative saved me a lot of hair pulling.

ooo congrats! i don't miss school though ;) I was ready to get my PhD right after college, but I realized I'd be making less money doing research than i would working my current job, so i "gave up the dream" i guess lol. Good luck! :p

I failed the math part the first time and had to do some studying...you would be amazed what you can find on youtube! I never went past high school and after the plant I worked for closed down the only other thing Im qualified for is going back to Pizza Hut! Which I do not want to do so Im going to take Office Adminstration and go from there. At least with the plant closing down I quailify for free school and still get my unemployment ,,,,only problem is I have always worked and staying at home is driving me crazy!!

i made a small order of 100 ml's. im way nervous about the fda ruling stuff coming up. but i think i have enough juice for 1.5 years lol

Im not too worried about the FDA...in the process of learning to wrap my own coils and if I have to DIY my own liquid and I honestly think I could go without the nic if I had too. I think the act is mostly what Im addicted too.

Funny, I just never have had a problem with the neg leg getting hot, just the top. I need to got to the hwdr store to get a gasket hole punch so I'll see if they have them tiny washers. I suppose I could use one of the extras in the RSST parts but that would be too easy.

Actually a slummin' Mold Maker ;) had to fall back to the general machinist side of the trade, injection mold work pretty much has dried up here...

Nice having a mill and lathe readily available when ever I need it :)

Good morning Bakerinos.

Im not too worried about the FDA...in the process of learning to wrap my own coils and if I have to DIY my own liquid and I honestly think I could go without the nic if I had too. I think the act is mostly what Im addicted too.

I am not so much worried as anxious. I just want to know whether they are going to deem these as tobacco products or not. Once that is done, then we can start the real fight. I expect lawsuits, if they do, and see this going our way in the end. The way the courts work here, it could end up being locked up in litigation for a long while. Only time I've ever thought our broken court system was a good thing.

In the end, I imagine we will see some taxation and more regulatory control over age restrictions and such, but I don't think vaping is going the way of the dodo, or that Big Tobacco will get all the pie. If the FDA does try and install punitive regulations (like tobacco taxes, for instance), I think our fight will be an easier one to win. Just because my lasagna has tomato sauce in it does not make it a pizza, if you feel me.

I am also a closet optimist, FYI. I am at a point where I'm vaping such low mg juice that I think as long as I have my vape, I will be good, much like you cocacola. Of all the things vaping does right to keep us off the analogs, the hand to mouth ritual and the inhalation/exhalation are what - I feel - makes it so effective.

Oh cripes! I had to order my IGO L from one vendor and my wire and wick from another. Did both orders within minutes of each other and according to tracking my dripper haven't even left yet! Looks like I will get my wick and wire by Sat. Well I guess I will just get right into learning how to rebuild Protank heads.

Rec'd my 510 bridgeless atomizers from DV this morning. Great service and shipping--2 days from time of order, East coast to Iowa. Did a taste test with them between whipped cream and sweet cream. I much prefer the sweet cream. Maybe the whipped cream needs to steep some more--been about 2 weeks. The sweet cream has steeped for a month. The atomizers work very well for tasting, but produce a very warm vape. The bottom coil tanks I use produce a much cooler vape, which I prefer. Can you get an atomizer that has a cooler Vape? Thanks to all you fine people.:toast:--Bo

I just read an article about the deeming regulations and the FDA from an actual credible source, and it looks like any actual regulations could still be another 18 months off and even then it's not looking like it will be so bad. Looks like I can ease up on hoarding juice for awhile. I still like having lots of juice on hand though.

Would you happen to have a link to said article, Denrock? Assuming you read it online, of course. I'd love to give it a read, perhaps share it elsewhere.

Off to work, you all have a great one.

I have been hoarding for a while also, and recently decided to try to use up some of the older stock just to clear out some space. But after a while those get old and I need some cinnamon roll, thug juice, or hawk sauce. It's slow going but the bottle stash is increasing so maybe I should start DIY.

I suggest anyone who vapes at least give DIY a try. Invest in a flavoring you like, a small amount of nic base, and whatever other base you like (PG/VG/Both). I have become a huge fan of max VG, the flavor, vapor, mouth feel, it's just the best IMO. I found a little cake/candy shop here in town I've been getting a few flavorings ($3 for 4oz.) and VG ($7.30 for 8oz.), and have been slowly stocking up on stuff. While not all are winners, I have found a few flavors I can vape all the time. Anyway, can't hurt to try, right? I've wasted $20 on far more inane stuff in my life.

There is a big difference of warmth from bottom coil to cartomizer to RDA/RBA. Less distance for vapor to travel will make a warmer vape. Could always get a longer drip tip i.e. captivape's BD/DS series.

Sure, my pleasure. Ah, knives... there's no substitute for being able to handle a real knife, but there's more than one way to chop an onion, if you get my drift. I can (and do) use a chef's knife on a good day, but on bad days, there's my mandoline, and for really bad days, I actually keep a slapchop around. It ain't elegant, but it gets the job done one-handed.

My Peanut butter cup is finally vapeable... holy cow, I need more of this pronto.

ok my smart friends! i got some cotton coils in a trade today. popped it into my pt2, let it sit. tried to get it going, and ended up tasting icky. so i washed out the head just to make sure i hadn't (already) burned it. i'm not sure how much cotton there is supposed to be in the coil. the coil looks very large/wide circumference. looks like this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vapor-flavor-th-10-wrap-microcoil-protank.jpg

but once it got wet with juice it shrinks down and flattens alot. i tried to fluff it up a little, and then put it back in my tank. it's hitting ok now. does this sound normal? does it just take a little bit more time to get a cotton wick going?

maybe i need to start thinking about bottom feeders? i've never used a standard atomizer, so i dunno where to start. ugh. wicks are just really starting to annoy me
