Cut em down!?! wow.... I planted these, there are 12 of them n waited near 15 yrs for them to bear fruit (still waitin on a couple).
A couple are paper shells, I'll shell these n sell a few n make pies with some.
The rest I carry off n sell, dont get rich, but they're definitely worth picking up! :)

Yeah, that's exactly what I said, I had stopped as the signs were still hanging from the fence about the Pecans. The woman that lived there use to not only sell them she would give them away as well, she had a bunch of them, she used to also make some great snacks out of them as well, they were roasted and coated with sugar and cinnamon, damn good stuff.

I had asked the new owners why they cut them down and the answer I got was they didn't know what they were and wanted to plant some trees that had pretty flowers on them! All I could do was walk away shaking my head...

Hello again MBV lovers, i have posted here a couple of times before because my juice has been perfect so far. But i am a MBV newbie, im on probably my 4th order now and now that ive ordered a few times, i have noticed something that i need to ask a few questions on.

First thing i have noticed is inconsistency. The flavoring each time i order seems to be different. I have stuck with 80/20 vg pg and 50/50 mostly at 6mg with 2 flavor shots. And its always been Butterscotch. Now the first two times i got Butterscotch, it was just like a Butterscotch candy. Than the third time it was way too strong almost like it was practically unvapeable it was so strong, yet i had the same flavor shots as i previously ordered. I fixed it by adding straight vg. Now im on my fourth order and its the same two flavor shots as always still but way to light. I can barely even taste it.

So im thinking to bypass these inconsistency issues, can i just buy actual butterscotch flavoring and than add that to it when its way too light and than keep vg on hand to add to it when its way too strong? Also im thinking if i do this, than i no longer need to order any flavor shots, just get butterscotch with zero flavor shots and adjust the flavor myself with the pure butterscotch flavoring. Or since i know im gonna vape Butterscotch mostly, maybe i should just get some of the plain pg/vg at 6mg unflavored and than add the flavoring on my own to my preference.

Last but not least, could this possibly be a steeping issue? Sorry for the newbie questions and the wall of text. Just looking for some advice. Im really considering just getting the plain e juice and adding the flavoring from DIY to my personal tastes.

Short answer is yes, you can most certainly do this! I've done it with Mocha and a few others. As for steeping, yes, this can also come into play a bit, the more VG you have the longer the aging time will be required along with adding a bit more extra flavor to the strength level that you like.

Sounds like we have a budding DIYer here! ;-)
Be careful...that's how I got started....it's addictive! lol

Yeah i want to eventually DIY because it not only seems cheaper but also might be fun. And than you can make it as strong or weak as you like probably too

I started curiously mixing flavors, then thought what if I just get the flavoring n add it to different vapes? Well, then I could get some
pre-mixed pg/vg w/nic...

The next thing ya know, I've got nic and pg and vg along with a whole lot of flavors and I'm mixing like crazy!!
calculators, measuring, mixing....lol
still can't wrap a coil tho!!! :glare:

How do you steep it? Caps off for a week? When i mainly used Halo it was caps off for a week and shake every day for a week with caps on but Halo became too expensive.

Personally I don't like leaving the caps off for that long a time, I only leave them off for 1 or 2 days, but make sure to shake them all the time and then remove the top cap and squeeze the bottle a bit to get new air in it, recap, shake and put it in the aging box, then do the same every time I think about it.

Wow! It's been a while since I've been on.. Currently vaping Thug Juice in a PT2 2.2ohm coil on my MVP at 4.1v..gonna try and wrap my own coils this weekend while I have some free time..thinking about going the cotton route.. anyone got any suggestions on how many wraps I should do if I am using 32g kanthal?

I'm a bit ocd with my juices. Upon arriving in my mail, I shake, take the
outer caps off, and squeeze a bit to get in air. I leave the caps off and
do the shake and squeeze to get in air twice a day (morning and night)
for 48 hours. After that, it's caps on and in the aging box it goes. Every
night before I go to bed, I get the box out and shake and smell each
juice bottle. :vapor:

A buddy of mine told me to stick to 6 wire loops for 1.4 - 2.1 oHms... it's been working so far with 28 and 32g Kanthal wire =] I watched a vape show with Chunky and Greenman on Nova and the Greenman heated up the coils and squeezed them together so they stayed together like a tight spring. LOVE IT! So easy to change out wick with the heavier wire! Except when I get low oHm reading... then I can only wape it with my mechs XD

Everybody has their own methods, so the short answer is "however works for you." I've got two people vaping in the same house and haven't been vaping long enough to have a decent stockpile yet, so I *always* hot water steep straight out of the mail - all the bottles go in plastic bags (capped) and then those bags go in a bigger bag, and the bag goes in a bowl of hot tap water. When the water is tepid, I dump the water and refill it, uncap each bottle and give them a good squeeze, recap and shake, and put it back in the hot water. Repeat about 5 times. That's how *I* hot water steep. If you have an ultrasonic cleaner, you can do that too. I don't, so I do things the old fashioned way. I can start to see the difference in color around the third time.

Then, I take all the caps off, let them sit for a day, and recap them for a week, shaking them several times a day and giving the bottles a squeeze to air them out a little about once a day.

I've found this to be the fastest way for *me*, considering that I don't have any high tech stuff to help me along. Having said that, if I had a larger juice supply and more time to let things sit, I think the *best* way to do it is probably to leave them cap off for a day or two and then recap and shut them in a closet for 2-4 weeks. The biggest difference between Halo and MBV is that Halo's juice comes pre-steeped - although it does benefit from steeping, itself.

Halo juice was excellent for me after about a week. MBV needed a week *plus* the hot water steep, because MBV is made to order. If you don't want to mess with a hot water steep, figure on at *least* a two week steep for most juices. Generally, the darker the juice, the longer it needs to steep. Really dark juices might need a month or more. For example, Cola from MBV was great out of the bottle, after the hot water steep... but the hot water steep had also turned it from clear to lime green, so I knew it was ready. Chocolates, coffees, tobaccos, all of those are going to need longer to steep. You learn to tell pretty quickly. You know how you can tell if Halo juice is ready when that weird baby powder smell/taste is gone? With other juices, you'll know they're ready when the alcohol/perfumy smell/taste is gone.

Ok cool! So another question, would that be considered a 6/5 or 5/6..to be honest I don't really know what that means. Does it mean that it is 6 loops that you can see on top and only 5 on the bottom or vice versa? I'm a big noob at wrapping coils so any info is awesome info

Thanks Guys(And Gals)

I'll keep looking as well <---- coil building [BUT LUCKY] noob here as well :p HERE IT IS:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...n/418892-how-make-2-ohm-resistance-coils.html

7/6 or 6/5 or 5/6 coil wraps: More wraps equals higher resistance

I use 7/6 wraps and get 2.5ohm with 32 kanthal, this coil I am using right now I used 6/5 and it is at 2.1ohm. I also use a machine screw to coil it so mine would probably be tighter wraps than most, but I am guessing it would be about the same if you do it by hand. I wrap it around the screw 6 times, but then one wire I unwrap a little to get more wire for the lead, so it is 5 whole wraps, and 2 half wraps, which is 6 basically. I am pretty sure that is what everyone means when they say 6/5 or 7/6 or whatever lol. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

BREAKDOWN:

Ok, I'm curious on the flavor shot thing... I know everyone's different... What's the deal with the extra flavor shots?
Is it 1 ml more, 0.5 ml??
They really don't say on their site...
My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew have ordered from MBV and I've sampled them they are quite good, but I am wondering about the flavor shots...
TIA :)

There not measured in ml, they are percentages, I believe that each shot is like 2%

When I see 'We recommend the concentrate to be mixed at 15% - 40% with unflavored Nicotine Juice.' on the MBV flavorings, I think that this means

15% flavoring and 85% PG/VG/nic for basic juice
20% flavoring for 1 flavor shot
25% flavoring for 2 flavor shots
30% flavoring for 3 flavor shots
35% flavoring for 4 flavor shots
40% flavoring for 5 flavor shots

no, that's what I first figured but no.

They say 2% but I'm sure that's a rough estimate. It probably differs with different pg/vg ratios.

I like my juice at a 50/50 mix so what does that figure the flavor shots to percentage wise?
That's very confusing to me...
