Live center ,steadyrest , four post tool holder , most likely earning time anda half or perhaps even double time ,not a bad way to spend the day. Remember however I was one of those who spent more time a work than withfamily or friends for close to 40 years. Well I did have some friends at work and also worked some years with my brother and my dad worked with me around 8 years.

Yup, looks like you got all the components :thumb: probably near max weight that my center could handle so threw on the steady rest for a little extra stabilization :) apparently it's the armature out if a 60hp motor, didn't read the data plate, took their word for it, I call this grunt work ;) because if the sound you make tryin' to get it into the machine

When I was younger I was always puzzled why older people always held print far away for them to read it. Didn't make sense to me cause I thought how can you see it better furthur away then right in front of you.

Now that I turned 40 I understand it now cause I find myself doing the same thing! LOL Now I understand the joke of the arms not being long enough.

Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated. Sounds like both Blood Orange and Watermelon are worth a go for me. And those wearable magnifying glass things are called loupes, at least the versions in the jeweler's world and medical field are. Might be known by a different name in other occupations. Googling "loupes" should turn up any any other nomenclature, though.

I don't find it hard to read, but then again I have bifocals. Yes, I am old. ;)

You and I are the same age :)

For those needing reading glasses, welcome to ur 40's(!) and dollar tree carries pretty decent ones if you're farsighted. ;-)

Quick question for international customers of mtbaker, how many days do orders take to reach you? thx in advance
Mine got to me last time in 6 days, with customs and postal service swap over blah blah. I don't know about the other side of things on the SA. Or Mexican side though. Luckily I live just on the other side of the border and can stop at MBV when I am on my way to the family camping spot in Washington.

the colder it gets the more I dislike my pro tanks :)
where do you buy the little silicon covers for the mouthpieces.....I think for an Illinois winter I may be investing in some !!!!

You can find them online or at a local B&M store. You need the type which pops in place like your PT, and not the screw in version. I found the tip to be cold as well and it's only in the 40's here the past few nights.

I've had crappy vision my whole life, so bifocals didn't really phase me. I feel sorry for the people like my mom who never had to wear glasses and suddenly need them.

Funny story: when my mom started needing reading glasses she kept misplacing them. Finally, my dad, who owed a drugstore, just bought her a case. It was cheaper than having her buying glasses all the time. I thought that was a true sign of love. He didn't complain or nag her, just bought her all the reading glasses she'd need for at least a few months. And daddy is/was a cheapskate so her constantly losing glasses had to be irritating him.

I'm almost 32 and I tease my 63 year old mother for doing this. Wonder when my day will come.
