Halloween is unfortunately another dying holiday in many places, unfortunately for the kids.

The older kids and predators took it over, stomped on it, abused it, and stuck it on the front page news once too often I guess.

I want to thank all of you for your well wishes on my job search, I did get this job but I wasn't aware that it was a seasonal position as that was not stated in the job placement add, however there is a possibility that it came become a permanent position. But at least it gives me some breathing room for a few months. I start on Tuesday with orientation and will see how it goes from there. I'm just glad I have something. :toast:

Congratulations. Just keep those applications going while you're working this job and perhaps something better will pop-up. In the meantime, it is work and provides a paycheck. woohoo! :)

It's sad to hear Halloween is dying out in some places. My entire town goes all out for it. Most of the town is out trick or treating. Families come from neighboring towns. Every year one house sets up a haunted house and doesn't charge. If little kids and big kids get to a door at the same time the unspoken rule everyone follows is little kids go first. It's a fun night for everyone. Wish more places were like it.

congrats Dusty on the job. Hopefully it turns into a permanent position or you find a permanent one. The bright side is your bike is saved :D
everyone have a safe and fun night.

Negatory, my friend. Soccer moms, toddlers in tiaras and spandex suits, dance moms, american xyz, helicopter parents...all lead to people who just whine all day and are annoying.

15 years ago, if someone had tried to put toddlers in tiars on tv? dude probably woulda been stomped on

None of the coil should touch the side of the cup, the positive of course goes through the middle of the grommet and the negative out the outside of the grommet, just like you would do with a horizontal coil only this is verticle, also make sure the top of the coil doesn't go above the top of the cup and is the same height a horizontal coil would be so it doesn't contact the middle tube when you put that over the coil. In that thread there are quite a number of decent pictures that show what they should look like.

:oops::oops::oops:

didn't mean to cause you to "work" as soon as you got home, Bro...sorry bout that.

the "positive" coil is the bottom, i take it?

congrats on the successful interview, hope the job becomes permanent providing you still want it when it does!

tasting the juice, kelli? you know, it never even slightly dawned on me to do that. now that i'm using very little nic, it sounds like a good idea.

forecast: rain! (hey, it's Seattle, people ;))

we don't get trick-or-treaters, but i do expect the regular stream of aid cars and the occasional coroner!

which reminds me of my favorite good news/bad news joke:

the good news is that the coroner was here last nite, and it wasn't for me!
the bad news is that the coroner was here last nite, and it wasn't for me! :p

for those unsure of banana gone nuts, mine is DIY, 18% flavoring, 40pg/60vg, steeped one month (which i now concur with kelli. i used to get all anxious after 2 weeks, but i got plenty of juice, so the wait ain't bad), one month and it is very, very tasty! great morning vape! :vapor:

Hey, you're foot is in the door. Now it's just a matter of showing them they need to make you permanent over the no work-ethic clowns they already have. ;)

This is true, it's not an ideal job by any means however with things the way they are IT"S A JOB and I am happy to have gotten one even if it does only turn out to be temporary, at least I will be able to continue to look without having to worry about living on a street corner or under a bridge!

This particular job of course some requirements that needed to be done before you could even get an interview, the big one being that you have to take an assessment test consisting of spelling, math, customer service adherence, typing speed and how to handle problematic issues. I took my test yesterday as it was stated that you MUST take the test prior to interviewing, well I get to the Workforce office and when I walk in I see about 50 people in there and 20 of them were at all the computers and more people waking in, thankfully not all of those people were there for this particular job but there was 15 of us. Anyway, one of the workforce staff came out asked all of us that would be interviewing for these positions where there were 4 opening to go into the back conference room, I was to say the least shocked at all but 3 of there others applying for these positions, one guy was wearing greasy jeans and a T-shirt, a girl was wearing very short shorts with black lace stockings that had white skulls on them and the rest just were not dressed up in even Business Casual attire, another guy looked like he has seen the inside of a bathroom in months. I have never ever seen this before in such a large number of people. What the hell is going on, and it took me 2 months to even land this job! Geeeez, I don't get it. Oh and another girl came in with a bag from McDonalds and holding a drink in the other hand. I'm still stunned, what the hell is wrong with these people, they sure don't seem to care about getting a job or what they look like, you know the 1st impression scenario.:facepalm:
