This is true, it's not an ideal job by any means however with things the way they are IT"S A JOB and I am happy to have gotten one even if it does only turn out to be temporary, at least I will be able to continue to look without having to worry about living on a street corner or under a bridge!
This particular job of course some requirements that needed to be done before you could even get an interview, the big one being that you have to take an assessment test consisting of spelling, math, customer service adherence, typing speed and how to handle problematic issues. I took my test yesterday as it was stated that you MUST take the test prior to interviewing, well I get to the Workforce office and when I walk in I see about 50 people in there and 20 of them were at all the computers and more people waking in, thankfully not all of those people were there for this particular job but there was 15 of us. Anyway, one of the workforce staff came out asked all of us that would be interviewing for these positions where there were 4 opening to go into the back conference room, I was to say the least shocked at all but 3 of there others applying for these positions, one guy was wearing greasy jeans and a T-shirt, a girl was wearing very short shorts with black lace stockings that had white skulls on them and the rest just were not dressed up in even Business Casual attire, another guy looked like he has seen the inside of a bathroom in months. I have never ever seen this before in such a large number of people. What the hell is going on, and it took me 2 months to even land this job! Geeeez, I don't get it. Oh and another girl came in with a bag from McDonalds and holding a drink in the other hand. I'm still stunned, what the hell is wrong with these people, they sure don't seem to care about getting a job or what they look like, you know the 1st impression scenario.
