I just saw a post by someone else who is pretty new to Reo's, the title of the thread is something like Reo Newby 101 or something along those lines, where he posts things he has had that work for him, might be worth a glance over! :)

yeah i read it. i've read like EVERY reo thread over the past week...im just dumb lol

I seem to recall a post where someone said the closer the coil is to the liquid hole the more flavor you pick up but the less vapor there will be. Maybe try that?

yah.. tried it. just banking on 28g microcoils being a tad better.

i did replace my cotton jsut now in both without having to redo the coil, so that was a good job for me (i had burnt the others ones....). and now im giving myself a nic high with 12 mg in one lol

sadly, its mostly my mbv juices that don't taste great in them :( I'm down to about 8-10 mbv juices that i must have on hand at all times. I'll be keeping WC in my pt2 for now though, because it tasted like wet sugar cotton in my reo. lol

Did you boil the cotton really well? Just trying to help rule out possibilities.

you can use attys on them, but i didn't like the weird taste in them. they're bottom feeders, so no tanks.
they are super small which is really nice, but apparently a super high learning curve, and im dumb.

I'm sure it would stump me some as well so don't feel bad, learnin' something new takes time and persistence....

That's part of my suggestion of getting the basics down before trying to go ubber fancy with a micro coil, you should be able to achieve a coil that vapes well usin' the more traditional approach, sound like some of this might be wickin' or possibly even too much liquid? I know if I add a few too many drops and the coils are in juice the performance is affected ;)

Well I just ordered Blood orange, PB, Green apple, and East Coast Tobacco. Those 4 in 15ml with 10% off and shipping came to 21.96 so not too bad. I requested Rainbow Sherbet for my free sample hope they have it back in. I also talked to someone in live chat and found out that egg nog is all gone, I thought that it was just wanted to double check hoping that it wasn't. And of course just a little bit after placing that order I just remembered that I wanted to order S'mores to try.

I find dripping to be an art in itself....:(
The # of messes and bad hits FAR outnumber the good hits!
I can't imagine that depending on 1 of MY coils!!

meh, at this point its really go big, or go home and sell my stuff Lol. these coils are vaping well, the flavor is just -eh-. i thought it may be too much juice too, but how is that possible when i burnt up two coils /sigh

no... but why would i get such a cotton taste in some, but not other wicks.. >< but maybe i should. i do have some rolled cotton on the way that someone who also couldnt get rid of the taste uses.

Did the coils themselves burn, or was it the cotton wick??

You'll figure this out, I promise. You'll be frustrated in the meantime, but you'll get it.

I have to disagree with Uno a bit...I would try the micro coil since a "traditional" coil isn't working. I get the best flavor out of the micro coil, and in some ways it is easier to wind the coils. Since they are wound using a support (a drill bit, a syringe needle, a sewing needle, etc), it is pretty easy to keep them straight and even. The only tricky part for me is that I torch mine while it is on the support and let it cool to set the coils. That can be a fiddly maneuver. Keep the support in the coil while you install it in the RM2, and then remove it after you've screwed the legs down on the posts.

Just got surprise vapemail from a friend (and yes, I do mean "just"... mail was late today!) None of them are MBV, and I'm going to wait till my birthday to examine them close up, but by the smell issuing from the package, it seems said friend is trying to aid me in my search for a cheaper approximation of Halo's Belgian Cocoa. Not that I don't like MBV's chocolate vapes, cause I am happily working my way through those too, but so far they're all closer to Hershey's than cocoa. Not a bad thing at all, I've just gotten obsessive about this search in short order. :D

Any further suggestions for an MBV substitute along those lines would be appreciated, btw. I don't expect anything to be a clone, just looking for something as similar as possible.

has anyone tried my recommendation of peanut butter and surprise grape mixed yet? i am keen to find out if others think it's as good as i do.

I would like to try it and I have surprise grape but no PB. The closest I have to PB is Udderly Nuts. Do you think that would work?

Grape is better with Udderly Nutz than PB. I PIFed my SG but I like straight Grape better.

PB and banana....look out ELVIS is in the building !!!!!!!!!!!!!

PB & Banana Cream Pie is better than with straight Banana :2c:
That give's me some Dread Zeppelin Heartbreaker Hotel :)

Wow Kelli - My fav Greg Allman song and one of my favorite Primus songs on the same page even. :toast:

I haven't tried the Belgium Cocoa but hear it's really good. I did, however, start out with Shamrock, Halo's chocolate mint juice, and it was delicious. Well, it's all I vaped for the first month outside of some prefilled G6 cartos filled with Tribeca. I loved them both. Just wanted to let you know that there is currently a 5% off deal going on at Halo if you really want the Belgium Cocoa. I'm thinking of taking advantage of the sale and trying it myself. Of course, I have all this DIY sitting in front of me to tackle. I do have a few juices from other sources than MBV, but only ones I just can't get or duplicate at MBV. I found 2 pretty decent pumpkin pie juices as well as a caramel custard. 99.9% of my juice is from MBV though, and I don't see that changing. PM me if you want the codes for that deal at Halo.

thanks. im just feeling very negative today about it all :/

I was feeling that way too not that long ago. That's when I discovered carto tanks :) For me they have been very consistent, and that's what I love about them. I don't even look at the protanks or evods I have now. Hope you get out of the slump soon :)
