Did the
coils themselves burn, or was it the cotton wick??
You'll figure this out, I promise. You'll be frustrated in the meantime, but you'll get it.
I have to disagree with Uno a bit...I would try the micro coil since a "traditional" coil isn't working. I get the best flavor out of the micro coil, and in some ways it is easier to wind the
coils. Since they are wound using a support (a drill bit, a syringe needle, a sewing needle, etc), it is pretty easy to keep them straight and even. The only tricky part for me is that I torch mine while it is on the support and let it cool to set the coils. That can be a fiddly maneuver. Keep the support in the coil while you install it in the RM2, and then remove it after you've screwed the legs down on the posts.
