Good evening all. Glad to hear you made it through the storms OK Kelli. I hope your Mom gets the help she needs Doug. I got PB now so I'll try that combo soon. I just got 8 or 9 new flavors Monday morning I'll probably try at least a few more this weekend. I tried just a few drops of East Coast tobacco tonight, and I definitely like it. Been vaping Gummi Bear, Extreme Soda, and Hawk Sauce tonight. Think I'm gonna make some popcorn and watch a movie then call it a night.

Early morning peeps!
I saw some were talking about voltage drop offs with pvs earlier. I notice when my REO starts to drop I just swap the battery. I haven't used my vamo enough to see a drop like that, but I thought that pvs like them don't do that. My zmax and sid don't start to have a drop in power, they work then says low battery lol.

Morning Mia!

To anyone who's interested, and who might be trying to figure out which mods have a power drop and which don't; as far as I understand it, anything with power regulation won't experience a drop in power. It actually has nothing to do with the batteries themselves (batteries, left to their own devices, will always have a noticeable drop in power near the end of their power reserves). But a power regulated mod will essentially cut you off the second it "realizes" that it doesn't have enough power left to meet your chosen voltage... so essentially what power regulated mods are doing is "hiding" that tiny last bit of (poor) performance from us, and refusing to fire till the batteries are recharged.

That's my understanding, anyway. Power wheelchair batteries are also regulated and work the same way; if the chair dies on you, you can usually squeeze a few more feet out of it (enough power to get the chair off to the side) by turning your speed control all the way down, thereby decreasing how much power you're requesting from the battery. Similarly, if I notice the red light on my MVP - since there's no power drop, I often don't think to look - but if I do notice it, I can get a few extra vapes out of it by turning the voltage all the way down. Effectively, in both cases you're just tricking the regulator so as to throttle every bit of life from the battery, so it's not something I'd want to do often... I just wanted to see if it would work, and it did.

morning Seanchai,

what do you know about lithium ion batteries. i thought that i read somewhere that if you keep that charge between 3.7v and 4.1, that they will last a really long time. i stopped letting my v3s go in the red, but i know that they charge to 4.2v. if you drain them too much, you shorten their life span considerably.

any thoughts on that subject?

thanks!

So. I built me some 1.3 ohm micro coils this morning. First go around, work great. I have seriously come to the conclusion that for wahtever reason, mbv juices just do not work in my reos..... :( I was hoping to sell off some of my pv's, but since I do like my mbv juices I'm keeping them for use with protanks and my fav mbv juices. I can't figure out why, but i get no cotton taste from other vendors juices, but mbv consistently tastes like sweet cotton.

Happy birthday Seanchai! Hooray for being older than me!! :p

Just out of curiosity, what pv/vg do you order? I'm curious, because I seem to find a sweet-something taste in high VG juice that I don't care for. It can literally take juices I love and turn them into things I look at and wonder if they were mixed wrong...

They're all 50/50, which is what I've been vaping for a lil while now after my mouth was too dry at 65/35.

Thanks, kelli, for the birthday wishes and the kind words. As far as being an inspiration, I'll just quote a conversation my mother had with almost everyone we ever met:

"Oh, it must be so nice for both of your kids to have cerebral palsy, they must really understand each other!"
Mom: "Yeah, they both understand that if they get in a fight, all they have to do is give each other a shove and I'll have to pick both of them up off the floor!"

In other words, it's nice to give people a broader picture of what disabled people can do and are capable of, and I am always more than happy to do that; but when it comes down to it, I put my pants on one leg at a time just like everybody else. ;)

i put my pants on two legs at a time. does that mean i am more inspirational than you are? ;)

ok so i said a while back that i don't really love the box mods so much cause i think they are kinda fugly. but....

i found an innokin MVP2 kit on ebay for about $40 with free shipping, so i snagged on it. i like the idea of being able to vape for several days without a charge. and who knows, i might just fall in love with the thing. will let ya know.

btw, i am absolutely loving this peanut butter/strawberry shortcake combo. yum-smiley.gif
